24: TRUTH TROOP DAY 4: Six Words That Can Change Our Lives
03/04/2020 Duración: 40minJoin us on Facebook! facebook.com/womenspeakingtruthToday we are talking about living our God-given calling with other people - which ain’t always easy. Philippians 4 shows us two AMAZING ways to fix our eyes on God. The first is by rejoicing (for more on this, listen to day 3!!) and the second is by being gentle. And boy oh boy does gentleness matter to God. Why? Because treating people gently, kindly, softly, graciously, is exactly how God treats us. When we live and look like Christ, we are gentle. The problem is it’s not as easy as it sounds. So here’s what we are doing. After rejoicing (“I rejoice in the Lord because He is….”) we add gentleness by saying, “I commit to being gentle by ___________.” Fill the blank as you see fit: holding your tongue, listening more than talking, using soft words, encouraging more than criticizing, etc. Here’s why this matters for us as a community. We want to be women who do what Scripture says. What benefit is it for us to know the Word of God if we don’t t

23: TRUTH TROOP DAY 3: Rejoicing - Getting Our Eyes on God
01/04/2020 Duración: 35minJoin the Truth Troop: truthgroups.com/troopJoin us on Facebook Live: facebook.com/womenspeakingtruthCan you relate to the idea of “spiritual drifting?” Those who spiritually drift move through life aimlessly hoping they will stumble upon God, wanting more of God but unsure how to access Him.We want to know how to move past spiritual drifting and become women who are fiercely focussed on God through His Word. So how do we do that? We. Drop. Anchor. Our anchor is Christ and He is the Word. So how do we stop the drift? We open Scripture… Together. Philippians 4:4 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!” For us, we will fiercely focus on God by reflecting on God’s character and taking joy in Him. “I rejoice in the Lord because God…”Give it a go. A lot. And watch as God works in new ways in your heart.

13: Is God Enough?
28/10/2019 Duración: 26min“Why doesn't it feel like God is enough?”“How do I become a woman who is rested, quieted, and nourished by God?”We often find ourselves wrestling with these questions. In a society where instant gratification is more common than sliced bread, we can struggle in our dependence on someone else to provide everything that we need. Allowing yourself to become vulnerable and trust in the ultimate plan – God’s plan – seems to go against our day to day lives. This week on the Women Speaking Truth podcast Melissa, Steph, and Megan review what they’ve learned during the ASC process as they study the name of El Shaddai. Asking questions, Searching the Bible to see what scripture has to say about it, and coming to Conclusions (even when they’re hard to swallow) has revealed some wonderful things to the women in Truth Groups. But most importantly – it has revealed that you are not alone.
