If you've followed our list so far, then this should come as no surprise. The gravity-defying and genre-defining platformer is one of Mario's finest, and it is our No. 1 best Wii game. Neal, Patrick, Zach, and Tyler tell you why the game outshines the rest of the competition and easily landed at the top of our list. Thus ends our feature and podcast series. It shocked us, too, but House of the Dead: Overkill is the Nintendo World Report staff's #1 third-party Wii game. -Connectivity is back this week with a fresh tan and an impending doctor visit for this weird, itchy rash... First up, Neal sits down with Scott to discuss his recent trip to Florida where he, among other things, had a chance to play Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion. Learn about the different Disney franchises that are represented, how the game plays, and how many frequent flyer miles Neal earned on the trip. Then Neal closes with his top 5 Disney World rides in order of which made him cry the least. After that, our "That Nintendo Year" segment returns, focusing this week on 2001, the year that both the Game Boy and GameCube launched. How did Nintendo retire the N64 and Game Boy Color in the final months before the new hardware arrived, and how was the launch software for the GBA and GC? We tell all! Boom Blox Bash Party is tailor made for the Wii. It isn't a down-port, and it wasn't put together by some ragtag B-team. It's a shining example of what the system was capable of in loving hands. Our list of the ten best third-party Wii games continues, with No More Heroes coming it at number four. Josh and Carmine discuss Travis Touchdown's first Wii outing (plus his second for a bit) and why the "adult" brawler is one one of the best Wii games.

Xenoblade Chronicles, the ambitious RPG that nearly didn't land in America, marks its spot as the sixth best first-party Wii game. WayForward's 2009 interpretation of A Boy and His Blob's always had a special place in our hearts, so it's no surprise to see it among our picks for the best third-party Wii games. Hear Neal, Zach, and Nate gush about fun platforming, beautiful graphics, and a whole lotta huggin'.

Our seventh-best first-party Wii game is Mario Kart Wii, the 2008 release that brought the Wii Wheel into existence. Mike Gamin and Tyler Ohlew join Neal Ronaghan to chat about the awesome online, the creative courses, and the overall wonderful experience they all had with Mario Kart's sixth iteration. They even discuss Canada at some point since, well, Tyler's a Canadian and Mike can shout at him from across a Great Lake.
