Sinopsis

My name is Manny and I like to play video games in my free time. I write a whole bunch on my blog, which is located at www.gametimewm.blogspot.comYou have stumbled upon the place where I host my hot new Podcast, which is aptly named Game Time With Manny. Since I'm just a regular dude who plays a ton of games in his spare time I decided not to rehash the weekly gaming news, because you can get that anywhere else. Instead, each episode will focus on a specific topic, or game. That way I can actually do something unique, that you might actually want to listen to.It's game time!

  • Episode 87 - 6 Publishers And A Top 10

    05/06/2020 Duración: 02h30min

It's been an awful week in the U.S. as the murder of George Floyd by a police officer has sparked protests and incited even more police violence. The system is broken, and has been forever. Now is the time for change, and if you have a problem with the views Matt and I express during the first 7-10 minutes of this podcast we won't miss having you around. The news is lighter than it was going to be originally this week as most gaming companies made the right decision to take a step back and let the world have a discourse about its issues. Matt and I played one game each, which we briefly chat about before moving into the final 6 publishers we're going to discuss. The top 10 publishers of the generation list is completed in this episode. Next time though, we're doing a top 10 games of the generation podcast. Hopefully that goes well. News - 00:35 to 19:11 What We Played - 19:12 to 30:09 6 Publishers - 30:10 to 2:29:13 Specific Game Timestamps Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition - 19:13 to 25:48 Minec

  • Episode 86 - 9 Years Too Late

    30/05/2020 Duración: 02h23min

Most of the news this week is related to events being announced over the next few weeks. E3 may have been cancelled, but it looks like the industry is still going to come at us hard with announcements over the next month or so. After chatting it up about the games we've been playing we discuss the final major publisher on our list, which is Xbox Game Studios. News - 00:37 to 27:59 What We Played - 28:00 to 1:01:51 Xbox Game Studios - 1:01:52 to 2:13:39 Specific Game Timestamps Signs of the Sojourner - 28:04 to 41:45 PSO2 - 41:46 to 53:05 Rayman Origins - 53:06 to 57:00

  • Episode 85 - Waning Brothers

    23/05/2020 Duración: 01h50min

As Matt predicted last week there was too much news and now we're getting absolutely nothing. We scrape the bottom of the news barrel before Matt talks a bit about what he's been playing. For the grand finale we talk about WB Games and CD Projekt Red while going on several tangents about the films Cars and Spiderman 2. News - 00:33 to 18:18 What We Played - 18:19 to 34:16 WB Games and CD Projekt Red - 34:17 to 1:44:41 Specific Game Timestamps Spiderman - 20:59 to 23:28 Hyperdot - 23:29 to 25:05 Uncharted 4 & Middle Earth: Shadow or Mordor - 25:06 to 34:16

  • Episode 84 - You're Too Ubisoft

    16/05/2020 Duración: 02h44min

I apologize for the horrendous name of the episode this week. The Summer Game Fest has begun and tons of weird random announcements have been coming out daily. There's a remaster of Tony Hawk 1&2, a new Unreal Engine, and a Paper Mario game! This week the tables have turned and I was the only one who played a new game, which we discuss before moving on to our discussion about Ubisoft. News - 1:05 to 43:35 What We Played - 43:36 to 1:01:20 Ubisoft - 1:01:21 to 2:44:03 Specific Game Timestamps Rakuen - 43:36 to 52:36

  • Episode 83 - 2K Is Not Okay

    09/05/2020 Duración: 01h59min

This week the roles are reversed where we talk about a bunch of news and then the third part is quite a bit shorter. Interestingly 2K didn't publish many games this generation. News - 4:50 to 1:01:31 What We Played - 1:01:32 to 1:19:55 2K - 1:19:56 to 1:59:01 Specific Game Timestamps Rocketron - 1:02:39 to 1:05:13 Steam World Dig 2 on Stadia - 1:05:14 to 1:16:37

  • Episode 82 - E=MC Square - Enix

    02/05/2020 Duración: 02h41min

Numerous video games are getting releases and next generation console games are about to be shown. Amidst all the madness Matt and I still make time to play some video games! We chat it up and rank what Square-Enix has been up to this generation for the third part. News - 00:38 to 31:20 What We Played - 31:21 to 1:11:19 Square-Enix - 1:11:20 to 2:40:22 Specific Game Timestamps Until Dawn - 31:31 to 33:48 Xcom: Chimera Squad - 33:49 to 46:34 Persona 5 Royal - 46:35 to 54:07 Final Fantasy 7 Remake - 54:08 to 1:11:19

  • Episode 81 - Super Sony

    25/04/2020 Duración: 02h41min

Apparently Nintendo decided to update all their games, which dominates a good portion of the news. I have been playing the same games for hundreds of hours, so once again it's just Matt who has new games to talk about. For the third part we tackle the subject of Sony in our legally binding publisher rankings for the current console generation. News - 00:42 to 27:22 What We Played - 27:23 to 43:43 Sony - 43:44 to 2:40:35 Specific Game Timestamps The Pedestrian - 28:40 to 28:51 Fire Emblem: Three Houses - 28:52 to 30:57 Bound - 30:58 to 33:55 Until Dawn - 33:56 to 38:43 Lenna's Inception - 38:44 to 40:57 Top Run - 40:58 to 43:43

  • Episode 80 - Sega and Sonic All - Stars Podcast Transformed

    18/04/2020 Duración: 01h53min

Matt and I return once again to talk about the news, which is fairly scarce this week. Jason Schreier is leaving Kotaku, and Xbox has an upcoming joint announcement with Sega. What could it all mean? As for games Matt has been trying out some indie titles while I've been on the opposite end of the spectrum playing a ridiculously high budget AAA title. For the final segment we rank everyone's favorite blue hedgehog loving company Sega! News - 1:07 to 24:58 What We Played - 24:59 to 52:34 Sega - 52:35 to 1:52:08 Specific Game Timestamps Scourgebringer - 25:17 to 28:03 The Supper - 28:04 to 30:22 The Pedestrian - 30:23 to 34:28 Final Fantasy 7 Remake - 34:29 to 52:33

  • Episode 79 - Rated S For Nintendo

    11/04/2020 Duración: 02h56min

I initially thought this week was going to be much shorter, but thanks to Nintendo's wealth of games to talk about it ended up being just as long as every other one... We start our first weekly podcast by discussing the news of the world such as Cooking Mama being de-listed and the newest Inside Xbox showing. I didn't play anything new, and Matt had a few quick things to say about what he has been playing. I'm not going to do timestamps for specific games this week because of that! As usual we end with a special discussion of Nintendo, which just so happens to be one of my favorite publishers of all time! News - 2:53 to 38:30 What We Played - 38:31 to 1:00:16 Nintendo - 1:00:17 to 2:53:39

  • Episode 78 - Electronic Farts

    04/04/2020 Duración: 02h58min

This week we try recording our online podcast a bit differently, so I apologize for any audio weirdness. We are also no transitioning to weekly for the duration of the pandemic, so look forward to more hot content than ever before. With a ton of new releases we have a lot to talk about before transitioning into dumping all over EA. News - 1:14 to 48:03 What We Played - 48:04 to 1:52:15 EA - 1:52:16 to 2:57:31 Specific Game Time Stamps Ori and the Will of the Wisps - 48:15 to 53:57 Pummel Party - 53:58 to 59:03 Persona 5 Royal - 59:04 to 1:10:17 Fire Emblem: Three Houses - 1:10:18 to 1:16:08 Animal Crossing: New Horizons -1:16:09 to 1:29:12 Doom Eternal - 1:29:13 to 1:40:11 One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 - 1:40:12 to 1:45:20 Jack Box Party Pack - 1:45:21 to 1:46:38 One Step From Eden - 1:46:39 to 1:52:15

  • Episode 77 - Everything Is Cancelled

    21/03/2020 Duración: 02h50min

Coronavirus is a very serious thing, and in an attempt to stay safe Matt and I have taken to social distancing. This sounds like a joke, but I am very serious about it. We don't want to take any unnecessary risks and get sick. Due to that fact we are recording the podcast over Discord for the foreseeable future. If there are any audio issues I apologize. We will attempt to work them out over the coming weeks. There has been a lot of news in general the past few weeks and the world of video games is no different. We chat about that and what we played before transitioning into ranking 5 prominent indie publishers in our ranking of publishers. News - 1:38 to 41:13 What We Played - 41:14 to 1:03:33 Indie Publishers - 1:03:34 to 2:47:35 Specific Game Time Stamps Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - 41:14 to 44:41 Ori and the Will of the Wisps - 44:42 to 52:01 Animal Crossing: New Horizons - 52:02 to 1:01:02 Fire Emblem: Three Houses - 1:01:03 to 1:03:33

  • Episode 76 - Ghosts Of Capcom

    07/03/2020 Duración: 02h09min

Luckily we have actually been playing things, which we talk about before moving on to rating Capcom's performance this generation. 22/02/2020 Duración: 02h14min

We discuss hot topics like Geoff Keighly ditching E3, the Animal Crossing Direct, and Anthem being reworked. Sadly neither of us have been playing a bunch, so expect a very light game section where we mostly talk about the Sonic movie. For the end we rate Bethesda's generation, but it doesn't end like you'd expect. News - 00:32 to 43:23 What We Played - 43:24 to 1:12:20 Bethesda - 1:12:21 to 2:13:59 Specific Game Time Stamps The Sonic Movie - 43:38 to 58:44 Wind Waker - 58:45 to 1:00:29 Kentucky Route Zero - 1:00:30 to 1:12:20

We lead in with hot news like The Wonderful 101 Kickstarter, the 2020 EVO Lineup, and numerous industry figures changing roles! We then transition into all the games Matt has been playing. It's possible I'll only play FFXIV for the rest of my life. For part 3 we continue out look back at the current console generation by looking at Namco-Bandai. Get ready for a lot of one sided anime talk! • Episode 73 - Activating A Blizzard

    25/01/2020 Duración: 02h22min

Sony is not going to E3 again, games are getting delayed left and right, and the new Smash DLC character is a total bummer. Despite all that we talk about the games we've been playing and then take a look at what Activision Blizzard has done this generation. 11/01/2020 Duración: 03h08min

For our first podcast of 2020 we break the record for longest non GOTY podcast. We do that by chatting it up about the Pokemon expansion pass and the PS5 logo. We didn't play many games, but we do talk a whole lot about the upcoming games in 2020. • Episode 71 - GOTY 2019

    01/01/2020 Duración: 03h35min

As always I am going to issue a rough audio warning. This one is better than previous years, but we're four people using a single mic. More often than not Scott and I are louder while Noukeo and Matt are quieter. Since it's all one track I can't properly adjust anything individually. Someday we'll be able to use multiple mics and it'll be magical. This is the same as every GOTY podcast. We count down our favorite games of the year from 10 to 1. So buckle up for three and a half hours of non-stop action!

  • Episode 70 - Game Of The Year Categories 2019

    28/12/2019 Duración: 02h39min

This week is action packed as we start off looking at Porn Hub's year in review to see what video games people were searching for the most. It's a wild ride. In terms of actual news we chat about In the Valley of the Gods being put on hold and 2Ks newest studio. • Episode 68 - Star Wars Fallen Stranding

    30/11/2019 Duración: 02h53min

The length of the podcast this week gets away from us, but we discuss quite a bit. We begin by discussing the nominations for the 2019 Game Awards, and then transition into what we've been playing. Pokemon and Death Stranding take up a lot of time, but at least we won't really have to talk about them much now that they're done! The final portion is about Fallen Order. Matt did not like it very much, while I did. Beware of spoilers for Fallen Order. I marked them in the timestamps.
