Game Time With Manny

It finally happened. After 225 episodes I went to put this one together and it had wild audio drift. The new extremely shaky recording method we were using recorded this with variable audio drift so that I couldn't even fix it. It seemed to change at various points. So as a fair warning this is almost entirely unlistenable because we talk at roughly the same times. It does get better towards the halfway point, so you might be able to tolerate it when we talk about Tears of the Kingdom. This won't happen next time, because we're starting to record in person again next time!

We return after two weeks to once again regale you with tales of video games, except this time one of us has a rash! Tune in o find out what's up! Not much was newsworthy except the UK blocking the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard, and Nintendo hilariously announced a Zelda stream is happening 2 hours and 15 minutes before it releases. As for gaming we did, Matt is back with a vengeance. Hear his final thoughts on the Resident Evil 4 Remake, and my thoughts on Jedi Survivor!

We return for another fun week of news such as Lil' Wayne hosting a Street Fighter 6 stream and much more (not really that much more). I played the Battle Network collection and that's really all the gaming between the two of us! To finish the podcast out we rate our top ten favorite courses in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This is obviously the definitive list so you won't want to miss it!

We have a new podcast recording solution, which seems to work out okay. I might have to mess with some things, but for the most part it's not too bad. We go over news from what feels like an eternity ago with the Tears of the Kingdom gameplay video, E3's newest death, and some new upcoming Vampire Survivors DLC. To finish it off we talk about the games we've been playing which include the Resident Evil 4 Remake, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Infinite Guitars, and some other random stuff!

Not much newsworthy stuff happened so we talk a bit about how skeezy industry events can be, and what's going on with Suicide Squad. In the games department I finished Midnight Suns and we both started to play the Resident Evil 4 Remake. It's very good.

We return to you on our first Sunday recording where we talk about the bizarre return of Level-5 and the even more bizarre return of Pokémon Sleep. Matt transitioned to a new position at work so he hasn't had much gaming time, so I regale him with my tales of hanging out with Blade in Marvel's Midnight Suns. To finish we rank all the Assassin's Creed games, except it's mostly Matt because I have long since fallen off the train.

The EVO games were announced so we get hype about that before being marginally sad about how lame the Sony State of Play was. For what we've been playing I talk about Final Bar Line and Hogwarts Legacy while Matt lets us know how sick he thinks the Dead Space remake is! To finish I recount my overall feelings on the Psychodyssey Documentary that 2-Player Productions did about the production of Psychonauts 2.

Is this episode almost two weeks late and missing the theme song? You bet it is, but I got super sick and threw up a bunch so cut me some slack alright!? Anyways, the Nintendo Direct happened and at this point maybe you forgot all about it and need a refresher on all the absolute banger announcements from it. In terms of games I go bananas for Hi-Fi Rush, while Matt finally beats the Molly Hatchet song he had been struggling with for weeks. It's a good one, so you best get excited.

Video game news is happening, but sadly so are a lot of industry layoffs. Microsoft had a developer direct, and a few other studios had some things to show. Matt and I really spend a lot of time playing games these past few weeks. He continued on with Rock Band, but also put some time into Resistance 3, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, and The Quarry. I spent time in some new releases with One Piece Odyssey and Fire Emblem Engage. Tune in to hear all our hot thoughts.

Matt and I come back for the new year and return to our original every other week schedule. There's barely any news, so we mostly talk about the tons of stuff we've been playing like Citizen Sleeper. Omori, Dante's Inferno and Castlevania Lord of Shadows. To finish we check out a list of games that are coming out in 2023 and choose which ones we're most excited about.

Game of the Year is back again for another round! As usual we count down out top games of the year from ten to one. Matt and I had a lot more similarities than we have in previous years!

2022 is coming to a close, so that mean it's GOTY season. To start off we do our annual categories podcast. We have ten categories and rank our top 3 games in each (except for the ones where Matt does a top 1 and a top 10). Enjoy this week and come back for the actual Game of the Year podcast NEXT WEEK!

After two weeks I have returned with a cold! I sound congested and cough the whole time! Despite that we manage to make our way through the news and the Game Awards world exclusives. The games we've been playing are largely the same, but we're actually finishing them now. Since I am sick please forgive me for not cutting the weird 30 seconds were I thought Matt disconnected from the call!

The news is essentially a barren wasteland, but Matt is high on Christmas spirit as we talk about some announced release dates and a Pokemon patch that has people going buck wild on each other. I played Pokemon and like 30 minutes of God of War and Matt only played a little bit of it! This episode is truly a banger. You won't want to miss it!

The Game Awards nominations are where we spend a majority of the news time before mentioning the current gen Withcer 3 Patch and the upcoming Splatoon 3 season. Then Matt talks bit about Rabbids, God of War, and Bayonetta before I get far too passionate about Pokemon Scarlet/Violet.

Nibellion leaves Twitter, Pokémon is coming out soon, and Control 2 was announced. Since we missed last week there's actually a decent amount of stuff to talk about. As for the games we've been playing this episode is absolutely stacked. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Bayonetta 3, God of War: Raganarok, Until Dawn, and the new Plague Tale! There's a whole lot we discuss!

I've moved in to my new home, but now there's more going on so I get interrupted a few times! The news is slow, but steady as we see some Midnight Suns DLC, the world's cutest Pokémon, A remake of The Witcher, and the continuing saga of Bayonetta's original voice actor! In games Matt beat Grid Legends, and started Mario+ Rabbid's Spark of Hope. I too started Rabbids, but also started going down the Marvel Snap rabbit hole. Uh-oh!

It's the day before I move, but we still manage to find time to talk about the weird Bayonetta voice debacle nd some other stuff. I've been playing a ton of Disney Dreamlight Valley and a bit of Vampire Survivors 1.0. Matt started Grid Legends. If I remembered more about this one I would have typed it haha.

We return for a normal day and talk about the bits of Pokémon news over the past two weeks and the new Need for Speed game that apparently comes out in two months. I didn't have a chance to play much, but Matt has continued to play Splatoon 3 and he's really enjoying it just as I do. To finish we finally do another part 3 in which we go through a bracket to decide what the best game of 2015 was. Spoilers, I REALLY liked games that came out in 2015.

Guys, I'll be honest. This was supposed to go up last week and it didn't end up happening. I forget what even happens in this episode since it was recorded early on a Wednesday. This kind of thing will stop happening after next Friday, because I will live in the same place as my computer. Right now I'm only at my house 1 day a week. Please enjoy haha.
