Now Showing - Independence Day: Resurgence
06/07/2016 Duración: 50min[[:encoded, "For this episode of Now Showing I review the 20 years late Independence Day: Resurgence. As you will find out during my mostly spoiler free review, this sequel to the 1996 summer blockbuster feels as though it wants so bad to be epic and thrilling but ultimately succumbs to the same failings as its predecessor while adding new problems into the mix. But hey, at least it has Jeff Goldblum...right?"]]

Backward Compatible - Ghostbusters: The Videogame Ep. 3
06/07/2016 Duración: 50min[[:encoded, "For the third episode of our episodic playthrough of Ghostbusters:The Videogame we tackle two new stages, History Museum and Return to Sedgewick Hotel. Join us as we run down all the ins and outs of both levels and give our highly objective opinions on how we feel about the game up to this point in general. Our overall opinions of the game aren't swayed too much by these next two stages but while I start to get a grasp of the mechanics Madcap struggles with some unfortunate problems."]]

Flicks - 6/30/16

Bits - 6/30/16
01/07/2016 Duración: 01h04min[[:encoded, "For this episode of Bits we have very little in the news department after our post E3 episode so we breeze right into what we have been playing. Madcap discusses his love hate then love relationship with the new game Rhythm Heaven Megamix and then explores his unhealthy attraction to Onechanbara Z2 Chaos. I chime in with my thoughts on the recent Resident Evil 7 demo and the slightly not so new Final Fantasy 15 demo."]]
-
Backward Compatible - Ghostbusters: The Videogame Ep. 2
22/06/2016 Duración: 01h02min[[:encoded, "For the second episode of our episodic playthrough of Ghostbusters: The Videogame we tackle two new stages, Times Square and Public Library. Join us as we run down all the ins and outs of both levels and give our highly objective opinions on how we feel about the game up to this point in general. While we agree that that Ghostbusters license is being used well, we still find the gameplay itself lacking to say the least."]]

Backward Compatible - Ghostbusters: The Videogame Ep. 1
09/06/2016 Duración: 01h32s[[:encoded, "Welcome to our inaugural episode for Backward Compatible, the place where old videogames become new again. Join us as we playthrough a select older videogame in an episodic format and give our impressions as we play the game.\n\nFor our first game we have chose Ghostbusters: The Videogame (2009). With the new film on the horizon we thought it would be a fun way to remember the original film and cast by playing through what many consider the unofficial Ghostbusters 3 film. \n\nFor this episode we are playing through the first tutorial stage and up to completion of the first stage Sedgewick Hotel. Not only can you hear what we have to say but now you can actually see our playthroughs themselves by visiting my youtube channel Gaming with Dweavis and my counterpart's channel at Madcap888."]]

Flicks - 5/27/16
30/05/2016 Duración: 01h49min[[:encoded, "As promised (albeit a little late) here is your bi-weekly dose of Flicks, now served in bite sized pieces. Yes, as with Bits, Flicks is also now provided as its own entity so that you can choose your flavor or splurge and enjoy both! For this particular episode of Flicks we go over an assortment of trailers including the new trailers for the unpopular Ghostbusters reboot and the fan-loathed Star Trek Beyond. Then we go over some of the recent TV series cancellations and conclude with my thoughts on a handful of season finales including Fear the Walking Dead and Bates Motel. Don't forget to check out Bits and subscribe to the show!"]]

Bits - 5/23/16
27/05/2016 Duración: 01h48s[[:encoded, "Here it is, Bits delivered to you as it's own download (don't worry movie fans, Flicks is getting the same treatment). It took us a couple of episodes to realize the best way to deliver Bits and Flicks to you wasn't to jam them together but separate them into their own entities so that you can pick and choose what you want. Plus we know it's easier jumping into a 60 minute episode as opposed to a 160 minute episode. The format of the show remains the same but how you get them is just a little easier now. Hope you like the change and be on the lookout for Flicks coming very soon."]]

While James had been a huge part of our previous and now defunct podcast this is his first venture with us on Bits and Flicks and as expected he knocks it out the park. Tune in and listen to use discuss all the ins and outs about what is being called the best superhero movie ever made."]]

Now Showing - Star Wars: The Force Awakens
19/04/2016 Duración: 01h35min[[:encoded, "Well, we are a bit late with this one but I think the wait was worth it. We had originally recorded this the day after The Force Awakens was released on dvd/blu-ray but some unforeseen circumstances have led to us posting it at this slightly later date. Regardless, I hope you are in the mood for a whole lot of Star Wars talk because that is exactly what you'll get with this new segment of our soon to be podcast empire entitled Now Showing. Normally this will be where you will come for recent theatrical releases where we will focus on one film only but considering we missed out on talking about this one when it was released last year we thought what the hell, why not."]]

BAF Episode 1 - 3/27/16
30/03/2016 Duración: 02h28min[[:encoded, "Welcome to our very first episode of Bits and Flicks, the podcast for gamers who love movies! We kickstart everything with an introduction to our podcast format and then dive headfirst into the fray with Bits where we discuss anything and everything game related with our resident game guru Jake aka Madcap. After that I take over as we delve into Flicks where we go over tv and movie news. Apologies for the length but we are just getting our bearings and will hopefully reduce future episodes to a more easily digestible size. Hope you enjoy it and make sure to check back in a couple weeks for our next episode!"]]
