  • Friday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 6/2/17

    02/06/2017 Duración: 33min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to a Friday podcast to discuss a ton of MLB action. There’s quite a bit to break down with a bunch of ace-level starters taking the mound. They start with Clayton Kershaw leads the way as the likely cash play across the industry. Even though he’s coming off a rough start against the Cubs, he has a great matchup against the K-happy Brewers.  They also discuss Stephen Strasburg and his K upside over the last couple of games, Dallas Keuchel and Yu Darvish squaring off against each other and a bevy of lower middle tier SP2 guys on DraftKings.  Then for stacks they discuss the Braves and Reds in the highest implied run total on the day in Great American Ballpark. There’s also the Red Sox and some other teams to hone in on for GPPs. All of this and more of a full Friday MLB podcast.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Thursday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 6/1/17

    01/06/2017 Duración: 26min

DFRS’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the podcast to break down a short, double slate in baseball. Many teams are off today, narrowing down the choices on both sides of the ball. For the early slate they discuss Corey Kluber and whether or not he’ll be on a pitch count. They also talk Zack Wheeler and Brandon McCarthy as other options there.  For the early bats they see Cleveland as the clear leaders for stacking in cash games with the Mets in a good spot as well against Chase Anderson.  On to the night slate where Zack Greinke leads the way as the likely cash game pitcher though they do discuss what they see as a weird money line coming out of Vegas.  On the offensive side they break down the Blue Jays and the Red Sox.  Learn more about your ad choices. • Tuesday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/30/17

    30/05/2017 Duración: 34min

It’s a full Tuesday in baseball with every team going tonight. The guys start with talk about Mike Trout’s injury and the Bryce Harper brawl from yesterday.  Then they transition to Chris Sale and how high his ownership will be on FanDuel in particular. He’s not in the greatest matchup with the White Sox who have hit lefties really well this season. The moneyline is a little low you’ll see on Sale in general but he’s still likely the overwhelming chalk.  There are other pitchers to consider also, but each comes with a question mark or two. Jeff Samardzija faces the Nats who could be without Bryce Harper after yesterday’s incident.  They also discuss Robbie Ray, Luis Severino, Michael Wacha and Ivan Nova.  On the stacks side of the ball, plenty of teams are in situations with high implied run lines. Obviously there’s the game in Coors, but the Blue Jays and Rays are also in great spots.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Friday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/26/17

    26/05/2017 Duración: 29min

It’s the start of the holiday weekend and the DFSR guys are here to break down a full Friday in baseball. They start out talking about the clear cash game play in Max Scherzer. He faces an absolutely horrible Padres team and is the highest money line pitcher on the day. He’ll likely be chalk across the industry.  They also discuss Jacob deGrom and Chris Archer among the other expensive arms going today.  There’s some discussion about where to go with starting pitcher two on DraftKings considering how much you might pay for Scherzer.  On the offensive side of the ball there are more than a few interesting stacks. The Yankees, Red Sox and Astros have three of the highest implied run lines of the day with Houston and New York coming in as the best deals there. They also talk about the Phillies and Rays.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Thursday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/25/17

    25/05/2017 Duración: 25min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis sit for a face-to-face MLB pod talking a double slate of Thursday baseball. They start with James’ story of getting bit by a dog and then transition to the early afternoon games. The Yankees-Royals game was postponed meaning there are serious questions about pitching. They discuss Tyler Anderson and Vincent Velasquez. The Nationals bats look like the cash game stack for the early.  Then there’s the evening slate with Jacob deGrom as the clear cash game play. He’s been excellent this season, striking out more than 12 batters per nine and also upping his velocity.  You can also consider Drew Pomeranz as a SP2 against the Rangers.  All of this and more on a Thursday podcast.  Learn more about your ad choices. • Tuesday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/24/17

    23/05/2017 Duración: 26min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis sit down for a face-to-face podcast discussing a full Tuesday in baseball. Clearly the biggest question today is whether or not to pay up for Clayton Kershaw. He’s seen the strikeouts dip some this season and is still very expensive. The reason we can possibly pivot off of Kershaw is Lance McCullers who’s in a great spot today against the righty-heavy Tigers. He’s a big money line favorite and has put up excellent numbers this season.  They also discuss cheaper options like Joe Ross, German Marquez and Matt Shoemaker.  On the stacks side of the ball the obvious choice is the Diamondbacks who get a dream matchup against Dylan Covey. He’s one of the worst pitchers in baseball and they have the highest implied run line on the day (and it’s not particularly close).  Learn more about your ad choices. • Friday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/19/17

    19/05/2017 Duración: 33min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis discuss a full Friday in baseball. They start with pitchers and discuss the true ace in Chris Sale taking the mound. He’s been phenomenal this season striking out more than 13 batters per nine and walking less than two. Sale is the early favorite for the AL Cy Young.  They also spend some time talking about Luis Severino’s early successes and whether Alex Wood can be trusted in cash games. There’s also Jacob deGrom discussion and whether he’s worth it in his price tier.  On the hitter’s side of the ball the Tigers are in a good spot against Nick Martinez even though they might be without  Learn more about your ad choices. • Thursday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/18/17

    18/05/2017 Duración: 32min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis discuss a split slate of Thursday baseball. The big theme today is lack of pitching. On the early afternoon slate we have Jon Lester but there are 20 MPH winds blowing out to in Chicago and that could make problems for him on the mound. Of course we want to stack the Cubs’ side of that game and they’ll likely be the chalk bats.  In the evening the guys discuss pitchers like Hyun-Jin Ryu, Marcus Stroman, Jordan Montgomery and Julio Teheran.  For stacks they look into the Cano-less Mariners, the Dodgers against Edison Volquez and the Yankees versus Danny Duffy.  Learn more about your ad choices. • Tuesday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/17/17

    16/05/2017 Duración: 33min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take a look at a full Tuesday slate of baseball with a bunch of good pitchers taking the mound. But each of those guys has some question marks as well. Guys like Yu Darvish and Stephen Strasburg have great pedigree and career numbers but there are some troubling signs with each of their dips in K rates this season.  Then there’s Rich Hill who struggled in only eight innings this season but he’s had issues with blisters. Hill is coming cheaper than the above two guys which could make for a solid SP2 on DK.  They also discuss John Lackey and Dallas Keuchel.  On the stacks side of the ball the guys discuss the Rangers, Diamondback, Tigers, and Cubs. All of this and more.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Friday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/12/17

    12/05/2017 Duración: 33min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to a packed MLB podcast discussing a full Friday night slate in baseball. For starters, they discuss Clayton Kershaw and his absurdly low $9800 price tag on FanDuel. They are daring you to play him even in Coors and they guys land on you basically being able to grin and bear it.  After him they discuss Rick Porcello, Johnny Cueto, Lance McCullers and more with other pitchers in decent upside spots tonight.  For stacks James makes the case for the Cardinals against Eddie Butler. They also discuss going back to the Toronto and Texas wells tonight considering their matchup. And of course there’s always the Dodgers in Coors.  All of this and more on a full Friday MLB podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings.  Learn more about your ad choices. • Thursday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/11/17

    11/05/2017 Duración: 31min

The DFSR guys break down a shorter Thursday slate of MLB for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s an interesting night with some name pitchers in some less than exciting matchups. The guys discuss whether you can roster a guy like Michael Pineda in cash games facing a good Astros’ team in Yankee Stadium. They also break down Gerrit Cole, Zack Greinke, Marco Estrada and even talk a little JC Ramirez and Derek Holland.  On the offensive side of things the cash game stacking options actually look fairly clear cut. First they talk about the game in Coors and whether you can target both sides of the ball there. And then they look at a couple of cheaper teams in the Rangers and Blue Jays coming in good spots.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Friday DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/5/17

    05/05/2017 Duración: 39min

On today's DFSR MLB Podcast, Doug and James break down a full Friday slate. There are a lot of great pitcher options tonight, from Strasburg, to Darvish, to Archer - but to what degree should we be concerned about each of them posting declines in their peripheral stats this season? And what about Kenta Maeda's inflated ERA? The guys break down which stats matter this early in the season, which stats we can ignore, and the degree to which we should trust a small sample size vs. a career-long body of work. And then there are the bats. We've got a game in Coors tonight with some curious pricing, a few terrible pitchers pitching against likewise terrible teams, and an American league stack that might be off some radars. Get ready to have your mind blown, because today's podcast is not one to miss. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Thursday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/4/17

    04/05/2017 Duración: 30min

It’s a double slate of MLB game for Thursday with a bunch starting at 1PM EST and then a shorter five-game slate in the evening. The theme of the day is the chalk pitchers on each slate. For the afternoon it’s clearly Max Scherzer even up against a tougher Diamondbacks’ offense. Max is an overwhelming money line favorite going in and clearly the best talent going today. You can also pair him with John Lackey on DraftKings in the starting pitcher two slot. Lackey is in a solid matchup against the Phillies and coming cheaper than Scherzer.  For the evening slate it’s basically Adam Wainwright or bust in cash games as he represents the clear choice. The drop off in talent after him is pretty stark.  For stacks the guys discuss the Nationals coming a little more on the expensive end, the Astros against AJ Griffin, and both side of the A’s/ Twins game. All of that and more on a full MLB podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Tuesday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 5/2/17

    02/05/2017 Duración: 29min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the baseball podcast to discuss a full slate of evening games. There’s a lot to discuss, especially on the pitching side. Chris Sale headlines the talk as he’s been an ace’s ace this season. His numbers are in the Kershaw level with elite K’s and really limiting the walks. He’s almost certainly the chalk cash game pitcher. The guys also discuss Carlos Martinez, Jon Lester, Alex Wood, and James Paxton as considerations.  On the offensive side of things they discuss the Cubs against Jeremy Hellickson, the Yankees against a garbage Mat Latos arm, The Red Sox against Alec Asher and the Reds.  All of this and more on the Tuesday MLB podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings.  Learn more about your ad choices. • Friday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/28/17

    28/04/2017 Duración: 26min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to a Friday MLB podcast to discuss a full slate of evening games. There’s a lot to like going in with Max Scherzer taking the mound against a struggling Mets’ team. He comes in as, likely, the cash game pitcher based on pedigree, matchup and upside.  But the guys also discuss Robbie Ray, Jeff Samardzija, and possibly even Jacob deGrom as tournament guys.  For the offenses they take a look at the Astros facing a weak Jharrel Cotton arm, the Angels against Nick Martinez and the Toronto coming cheap against Blake Snell. All of that an more on the Friday podcast.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

  • Thursday MLB DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/27/17

    27/04/2017 Duración: 30min

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the MLB podcast to discuss a couple of short slates for Thursday baseball. There’s a lot to like about both the early and the late. First off, Noah Syndergaard was scratched after they posted the podcast and Matt Harvey will take his spot in the rotation. But the early slate also features Corey Kluber, Justin Verlander and Carlos Martinez.  The Cardinals are in a good spot all day in their double header against the Blue Jays, facing Mat Latos and Casey Lawrence respectively. And then we need to consider paying up for Coors’ bats.  In the evening it’s all Chris Sale against the Yankees. He’s been about the best pitcher in baseball this season and is the clear cut ace for the evening.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
