High & Tight

225 kicks off with Benny and RZ going on about the recent Boston sporting events they'd recently attended.  Celtics, and Bruins of course.  Piggy backing on that, they quickly discuss the impending return of the Red Sox and the 2017 baseball season. Of course, there's mention of the Patriots excellent excellent Super Bowl. Probably won't stop talking about that.  Then we talk about the Chicago Vice poster. Just reminding folks of how sweet it is.

What do you think we discussed in 224? Super Bowl 51, that's what. The greatest Super Bowl of all time (if you don't know, now you know).  You wanna hear a great Patriots recap? Then push play. To wet the whistle, Benny and RZ pump out a few sound clips from fans and non-fans alike. They also pump a few "cool ones" to celebrate the kick off of  High & Tight "Wet and Wild" weekend. Additionally, a few stats get thrown around, centering around the statistical impossibility of the Patriots coming back. Oh yeah, we talk a little about Robin "Downtown" Zibelli dropping 3's on some idiot during pick up basketball (weekly). That leads nicely into a great "Bird Shit" story to close out. This is a good one.

High &Tight 223 brings heat right out of the box with an immediate discussion about "dwarves", "little people", or "midges".  Specifically Peter Dinklage.  BB and RZ continue on with a little potpourri including talk of National Parks, John Muir, Captain America, The Godfather Tobin Howard, John Wick 2, Ian McShane, etc. Think we paid a little love to Bad Boys 2 and The Fugitive as well? You bet we did. Shoot. I feel like I've already said too much... 

222 welcomes back his highness, Kyle Bruce (or Encyclopedia Brucetannica). The original triple threat discusses the following: classical tunes, Suncoast Video, and a mini Patriot preview. Additionally, and to the tune of New England sports, they provide a little update about Big Papi. They also comment on the timeless look of Red Sox commentator, Dennis Eckersley.  Finally, there is a very very in-depth discussion about the present day Boston Celtics, as well as the Red Auerbach dynasty era Celtics. 

221 is a real ruuuuuuush. Benny B and RZ talk wrestling a little, then ease nicely into a little Alan Thicke love, based off a quick Thicke clip from Tim and Eric Awesome Show Nice Job (Cinco Napple).  We also send a little love to the late great Miguel Ferrer.  Pretty much only for his role in Robocop. Additionally, we talk a good deal about Boston Sports. Specifically, Red Auerbach and his filthiness. And also the filthiness of Christopher Mcdonald. And a bunch more. For serious. 

Episode 220 opens with a little nature talk; rain, weather, etc. Benny B and RZ touch the surface of our new favorite shit: Ken Burns' National Parks documentary. The better part of 220 however, showcases special guest, Chris Statz of ESPN.  

In 219, Benny and RZ FINALLY get to break down Westworld, which is highly entertaining. On a sad note, we discuss briefly the passing of Carrie Fisher. On an UN sad note, Benny and RZ talk about Arnold on the Apprentice, as well as his love for stogies. Also, Katelyn Jenner writes in. Good shit.

Episode 218  is pretty straight forward. Benny, RZ, and special guest Kyle Bruce break down Rogue One. There's a boat load of laughs, and pretty excellent break-downs of the film throughout.  We also throw in a quick  break down of the greatest SNL skit of all time (Casey Affleck, Starbucks).  Good shit. 

217 kicks off with a little re-recap of the Texas blowout.  Specifically The Dirty River boys, and their smokin' hot bassist. Chris Sale to the Red Sox? Yeah, we talk about that too (as well as the Cy Young Award winner, Rick Porcello vs. minidick Justin Verlander). Benny B and RZ ALSO get to the bottom of the Billy Ripken "fuckface" story.  We close out with discussion of Tom Brady's 201st win, and a little Princess Leia talk. 

In 216, Benny and RZ exchange Thanksgiving tales to start. We also discuss the weakness of Westworld, as well a touch of baseball. We finish strong with a Rogue 1 preview and a candid recap of the greatest flight in baseball history.

Benny and RZ verbally celebrate the Chicago Cubs first World Series win since 1908.  Then they share a few kind words about the New England Patriots chatter, as they tend to do. Finally, they close out an excellent show, with a visit to the Barry's Mail Bag. Good stuff.

Benny and RZ discuss the pre-world series in episode 214.  Mild analysis, with a fantastic story involving Jon Lester, Eddie Vedder, and cold beers post NLCS. There's also some prime time dialogue exchanged regarding the New England Patriots, and their endless weapon supply.  This is a good one. 

In the 193 spot, Benny and RZ discuss the following sweet items: The sweetest voices in film (James Earl Jones, Peter Cullen, Sam Elliot), the return of baseball, and early predictions.  Along those lines, Benny and Z discuss the Fastball documentary, and the status of RZ's baseball team. Also addressed: The Villanova buzzer-beater, Scottie Pippen's excellent tweets, and the random use of a Boston accent by Chris Hemsworth in Ron Howard's, "In the Heart of the Sea".

In 192, Benny and RZ have a quick Tombstone check in. Also discussed:  Kevin Costner and who may have been able to fill his shoes in Field of Dreams. Kurt Russell?  The boys also discover the fun of Star Wars dubbing High and Tight style.  Finally, Benny and RZ get to tear into Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In 191, Benny and RZ recap RZ's 35th birthday, coupled with his trip to Seattle. From that trip, the boys are able to discuss the history of the Emerald City. Also, the dynamic duo discuss RZ's car dilemma, and why folks should always have a sub woofer in their cars. On the topic of baseball, Benny and RZ check in on Pete Rose, Mike Piazza, and Adam Laroche's sketchy retirement. Finally, the boys are graced with a Fan Mail from their number 1 fan, Randy Gunter. 

Episode 190 showcases a little pop culture.  The fellas discuss Justified with Deputy US Marshall Raylan Givens, who's gonna play young Han Solo, and why we don't much care for Henry Cavill. No episode would be complete without some mention of baseball. As such, the topics of Mike Piazza and baseballs' all-time all-vice team are surfaced. Finally, Benny and RZ discuss why the word epic is no longer useable, and why swagger is making its way out. 

Benny B and RZ talk a lot of baseball on 188.  Topics include an inside look at RZ's spring training regimen for the 2016 Burbank Dodgers and a Red Sox check in. Even further, the Dynamic Duo divulge their perfect baseball team from top to bottom in addition to a quick chat about the upcoming release, Fastball narrated by Kevin Costner. Also - A "What would Pete Rose do" segment in addition to brief Siri training. 

On 187, Benny and RZ go 187 on Peyton Manning's alleged indiscretions, they discuss the meaning of 187, and further discuss the dunk contest.  An in depth look at the filthiness of the 1985 Bears team is also un earthed. 

In 186, Benny and RZ do a little Super Bowl recap.  Specifically, about RZ's trip to Super Bowl 50 (also covered: how big a weeny Papa John is). They also provide a little insight as to why the Jim McMahon Bears were filthy. Listeners will also find a thorough recap of Predator. Benny and RZ also discuss the best "bad cops" in cinema. 

In 185, Benny and RZ give an Oscar preview, with heavy emphasis on Leo and his continued slickness. Additionally, we speak about our main man Devin releasing his first feature film. There's also a little David Bowie chatter.
