The Constitution's Framers foresaw that even with the checks and balances in place, there would be a day when the Federal Government would exceed and abuse it's enumerated powers, placing our freedom and liberty at risk so they gave the people the power to reign in the Federal Government by giving the States the ability to propose and ratify amendments without the approval of Congress or the President.  This power is clearly stated in article V and it might be our only way to save this great nation. By now I'm sure everyone has heard the story of pro-gun Floridian, Jamie Gilt getting shot by her 4 year old son while driving down the highway. This story really hit home for me because like Jamie, I  am very pro-gun, I have a son that is 4 and I tend to carry off body so, in a alternate universe I could see this being me. So we wanted to dive into this story along with an article written by Melody Lauer titled, "When Baby Reaches For Your Gun," and we have an open discussion on guns, holsters, carry techniques and gun safety. I think every gun nut has been in a debate with a anti-gunner about the true intention of the Second Amendment at least once but more than likely, many times. While arguing the purpose of the Second Amendment, many anti-gunners will eventually say that if your argument is true, then that means we should all have the right to be armed with nukes. This is a informal fallacy where a debater exaggerates an opponent's position to such an extent as to replace it with a position that was not originally argued by the opponent.  If someone spews out this ignorance during a debate then first of all, you know you are winning but second, why not dig the knife in a little deeper with a logical answer, drop the mic and walk away?
