It's awful to watch her gaslight her sister and cling to this fantasy of what life would be like if she got to stay at the Red Keep. I am dreading what comes next. This was the first recording RoShawn and I did after coming back from our break, and the first since her moving into a new apartment. And Catelyn saves Bran from being stabbed to death, but suffers a pretty terrible injury herself and decides to head to King's Landing to find out just what the fuck is going on. When I originally posted the ASOIAF episodes on my old website (pour one out for the late OG, RIP original website) I did them each as their own blog entry, and used artwork I found around the interwebs. It was a lot of fun to find artist interpretations of characters or certain scenes or sigils. I decided I wanted to bring that back because I was curious what was out there now that the show has grown so popular. As I anticipated, there's a lot more artwork that is centered around the show and the actors rather than the imagination of the artist, but I'm going to do my best to find interesting pieces. This week's comes from Hed-ush on deviantART, and while it's a little late because it depicts the scene of our Stark boys finding the direwolves from the first episode of coverage, I liked it enough to use it for this episode. I am so excited to start this massive journey, and I can't wait to see what it's like to revisit this familiar world after so much has happened. These chapters, we spend some time with the Starks and the White Walkers, and that shit is just as effective in a book as it is on the screen. RoShawn is pleasantly surprised by how creepy the White Walkers are, and notes some major differences in their behavior and appearance from the book. Then we're with Bran, seeing him before his fall while he's still able to easily ride a horse, and afterward spend some time with Catelyn as she delivers bad news to Ned.
