But Fred Bertelsen is going to be at the first ever http://www.radiooutofthepast.org convention in Chicago. So if you're going to be in Chicago or in the Chicago area and you want to actually meet Fred and why wouldn't you he'd love to meet you. Just email us at brunch @london.com and let Fred know you'll be there. As for me ... well I'd love to be at that convention but family comes first and it's our anual camping trip. So I'll be in Kernville that's just past Bakersfield in the awesome Kern River Valley. Just think rafting my butiful wife our friends plenty of Lake Isabela blonde campfires marshmallows and candy bars and you all know what that means. 25/07/2008This is whre it all began Originally broadcast Jan 122008 Matt wasn't with us as he was attending his grandmother's funeral back in Kansas. The show opens with what was then live chat. You'll hear Bob Acosta the chair of Radio Out of the past. In matt's hour we listen to Daunt and Dervish. It's the first episode in that series. Daunt and Dervish are old friends who worked for MI during thewar. Now the war is over and these two ladies have opened a detective agency. Fred introduces us to a French detective Maigret. We then introduce you to Chief Inspector West in part 1 of our first serial. In Fred's hour ask yourself Is Christopher Marlowe also a super spy? We look at his life as he is an old man watching games in the Roman Arena. After we finish that Fred reintroduces us to Lionel and Jean. They've gotten toether now and realize the love from 38 years ago is still very much there so what's going to happen now? AFter that it's pannel show time as we listen to "My Music." 06/07/2008 Duración: 03h04minOn this week's episode Matt begins with part one of a documentary on Wolfman Jack. We hope you enjoy "In Search of the Wolf." We then return to BBC radio 4 from May 2006 and the Tragedies from episode 1 of The reduced Shakespeare Company. What's American about that you ask? You'll have to listen and find out. We then finish In Search of the Wolf. Sorry didn't have a date on it as my torent guy didn't know but it was narrated by Nick Berclaugh for Radio 4. Fred then presents in its entireity "The Big sSleep," by Raymond Chandler." This is the first novel featuring Philip Marlowe and stars Ed bBishop in tas that great Private Eye. All dramas come from Matt Cox and Fred Bertelsen's personal collections and are copyright by the BBC.
