Due to the passin of Matt's dad it's a short summary. Matt was in Cambria that week for the funeral. Couple house keeping notes here. First we're on next week but not on August 8 or 9 depending on when you download. But Fred Bertelsen is going to be at the first ever http://www.radiooutofthepast.org convention in Chicago. So I'll be in Kernville that's just past Bakersfield in the awesome Kern River Valley. This is whre it all began Originally broadcast Jan 122008 Matt wasn't with us as he was attending his grandmother's funeral back in Kansas. The show opens with what was then live chat. You'll hear Bob Acosta the chair of Radio Out of the past. In matt's hour we listen to Daunt and Dervish. It's the first episode in that series. Daunt and Dervish are old friends who worked for MI during thewar. Now the war is over and these two ladies have opened a detective agency. Fred introduces us to a French detective Maigret. Sorry if you accidentally got ep 1 again. This episode will introduce us to Jeeves with "The inimitable Jeeves," and the first story from that 1925 book. We then introduce you to Chief Inspector West in part 1 of our first serial. In Fred's hour ask yourself Is Christopher Marlowe also a super spy? And then we'll look at a real mystery featuring Kit Marlowe. Check out the show on Jan 20 it's more polished and Matt's not even back from Kansas yet. Watch it'll all go wild next week.

In the second play of Cesar entitled "The Arena," from July 27 2003 we look at Augustus. Augustus was Cesar's adopted nephew and one power hungry man. We look at his life as he is an old man watching games in the Roman Arena. After we finish that Fred reintroduces us to Lionel and Jean. They've gotten toether now and realize the love from 38 years ago is still very much there so what's going to happen now? AFter that it's pannel show time as we listen to "My Music." This week we begin Brunch with Cesar the first of three plays looking at "The Lives Of The Cesars," by Suetonius. The play runs a little under an hour and does contain strong language. On this week's episode Matt begins with part one of a documentary on Wolfman Jack. We hope you enjoy "In Search of the Wolf." We then return to BBC radio 4 from May 2006 and the Tragedies from episode 1 of The reduced Shakespeare Company. What's American about that you ask? You'll have to listen and find out.
