This week we talk about street harassment. It's a problem that seems to be getting worse and worse. I had a conversation with my friend, Rachel and we talk about her new campaign, "Respect The Walk" which is looking to confront the issue. “I’m trying to find something that has an action behind it and a way for women to feel empowered, because a big part of the change that has to happen is women have to stop ignoring it. We have to stop ignoring it. We have to start confronting it and we have to start telling them, ‘it’s not okay.’” I also asked a couple of friends of mine to share their street harassment stories. She has a very flirtatious way of writing and drawing you into her imagination. Paul tells me how his mother didn't talk to him for two weeks after he came out to her because she thought it was her fault somehow. His first sexual experience with a man turned out to be a close friend of his from high school who emailed him anonymously to gauge his interest in having a gay experience. We also talk about his "whore phase" and then we finish by talking about HIV and communication.
