  • Ep 506 Monette Richards, History of Secular Women

    14/07/2019 Duración: 42min

July 14, 2019 You'd think that a movement that's so focused on growing wouldn't want to chase off a large chunk of their potential membership. You'd think an organization dedicated to supporting that constituency within the larger movement would be considered useful instead of unwanted. The history of Secular Woman demonstrates that reality is way more complicated than that. Today's guest is Monette Richards, current president of Secular Woman. If you enjoyed this show, we'd love to have you come back next week for another episode.  You can catch Atheists Talk live, every Sunday Morning at 9am Central on AM950 KTNF online at http://www.am950radio.com/listen-live/  Contact us during the show with questions or comments at 952-946-6205 or contact us anytime via radio@mnatheists.org or tweet us @atheiststalk Support this show by visiting https://www.patreon.com/AtheistTalk

  • Ep 501: Dying Out Loud! w/Dave Warnock

    19/05/2019 Duración: 52min

Maddy and Hertzey talk to Dave Warnock a former evangelical Christian pastor and church leader for nearly 40 years, now an Atheist. Dave’s leaving the Christian faith came at huge cost with the loss of almost his entire community of friends, and family. Earlier this year (February 26, 2019) Dave received the devastating diagnosis of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), and this precious and brief life became infinitely more precious and incredibly brief.  Dave immediately decided to begin “Dying Out Loud” by living life to the fullest - traveling to see as much of the world as his body will allow, spending time with people he knows and loves, meeting new people and learning their stories, sharing  and most of all, just cherishing the beautiful “moments” life offers to all of us.
