On this edition of the show we are privileged to welcome author and car enthusiast Tom Cotter as he shares his journey with the fascinating Cuban Car Culture of history and today. He reveals everything from Russian engines blended with old school Chevy vehicles, to the very Cuban ingenuity that keeps these vehicular time pieces moving from generation to generation.

We journey back in to history to Ray’s experience as a WW2 mechanic serving in the South Pacific , his accounts of working on diesel engines, while being delegated as the go to mechanic during war time conditions. We also discuss the deadly disappearance of a ship steaming out of the Panama canal that ultimately ended its journey through the hands of enemy submarines. After 35 years of employment with Cummings --in 1980 , Ray ventures in to garage ownership and starts a diesel shop. We dove into the awesome history of bringing the community together at El Rey’s Garage & the fascinating history of how it all started!

The Power Of Youth Outreach We had a JAM PACKED show Wrench Posse! We're bringing the community together for automotive youth programs that are making a big difference. This week we had Executive Director Sergeant Charles Woodruff of DRAGG and Officer Teerink of the DRAGG Phoenix chapter. We will also hear from Ken Vela of WIKD Kustoms, event MC for many DRAGG events and whose brought auto enthusiasts to support the program.
