Something strange is going on here. Data was summoned to engineering to see Mr. LaForge, but when he arrives there is nothing serious happening. In fact it would appear that Mr. LaForge is “over there” with the Victory. Did Data fall into some time distortion? Because the Enterprise isn’t scheduled to rendezvous with the USS Victory for another three days. Data finds out it’s a model of the original sailing ship, not the real one and Geordi has been working on it for days. It’s his gift to the Captain Zimbata. But since we have three days why not visit the holodeck. What could possibly go wrong there? No the question should be, what can go right there? That might take longer to explain.
