Episode 11: 10: Membership Types & 30, 60, 90 Minute Floats
14/01/2016 Duración: 01h20minWhat's the best membership option for your center? Also, what's the right float time, 30, 60, or 90 minute floats? But first, in our personal business news, a big change has been made to how yoga is offered at the Float Shoppe. Dylan discusses how it’s taken awhile to figure out the best way to offer yoga so that it’s a great program for clients but doesn’t eat up too much time and energy from he and Sandra. Amy, having noticed problems in the tiered membership structure at Float Nashville, shares why she’s switched to one float membership offering and why clients are loving it and signing up like crazy! With a strong desire to meet the needs and wants of all clients, our hosts discuss how to find balance between being flexible but not bending over backwards. The consensus is that 90 minutes is the optimal amount of time for a float, but indeed there are benefits to both shorter and longer floats. Is it worth it to structure your center’s scheduling in a way that can make varied float times feasible? Dylan, A

9: State of the Float Industry, State of our Centers
07/01/2016 Duración: 01h17minBefore diving into what lies ahead for 2016, Dylan, Amy, and Lance reflect upon their holiday promotions and sales and discuss what went as planned, what exceeded expectations, and what they'd like to do differently next year. Planning for holidays 2016 can begin now to ensure smooth sailing when the season arrives. Then, onto 2016! Amy shares her plans to open a second float center and discusses why a second center is what's needed for Float Nashville. By promoting an employee to full-time manager at her first location, she has more time and energy for focusing on location number two. Lance's plans for 2016 involves filling in the large, unused space within the Float Shack with a community space, therapist offices, and a sauna! Instead of installing more float tanks, which was the original plan, Lance discusses his vision for creating a space with multiple offerings where someone could spend an entire day of wellness. Dylan updates us on the remodeling of the Float Shoppe's fourth float room. With more exc

Episode 9: 8: How Do You Give a Float Intro?
16/12/2015 Duración: 01h05minWith so much that could be said to a customer who is coming to float for the first time, Dylan, Amy, and Lance share what they feel are the important points to cover, what perhaps shouldn’t be covered, and how they’ve designed float introductions to be done at their centers. It begins with the warm greeting and lobby environment that help the customer transition from their state in the outside world to what they’re about to experience in the tank. Then, finding the balance between hitting all the points of an introduction while keeping the interaction genuine and personal. Finally, does informing about the benefits of floating, possible mental states in the tank, and other floaters’ experiences potentially color the customer’s float, and is that a positive or negative thing? Episode 8: 7: Float Room Products
10/12/2015 Duración: 01h02minWith so many different brands of products available for float center owners to choose from, our hosts share which they use in their centers and why. But first, Lance tells a story of how kindness and goodwill has led to exciting news for The Float Shack! Next, Dylan shares the first SpeakPipe Voicemail the team has received... This is a special one. Then, Dylan, Lance, and Amy discuss which they agree and disagree are the best brands of products for clients, for tank water, and for budgeting. Do foam or silicone earplugs offer the best fit, and which brands offer the economical option of repeated use? Is Dr. Bronner’s body wash worth the price tag? Finally, Lance changes his stance on whether or not neck pillows should be encouraged for floaters. Check www.TheArtofFloating.com for show links
