U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett ('83) is the Band of Gold Spotlight. We hear about Barrett's work on Capitol Hill, and his cadet days. Also, Jeff Hartsell discusses the Basketball Bulldogs' big wins on the road at CofC and Davidson. And Fred Jordan's Diamond Dogs prepare to start the '09 season.

"Miracle On The Hudson" survivor Mark Hood ('82) describes the dramatic rescue of US Airways Flight 1549, which crashed in the Hudson River on Jan. 15. Also, Citadel basketball great Doug Bridges ('68) remembers former head hoops coach Mel Thompson, who passed away at the age of 76 on Feb. 5.

Kevin Higgins comments on the 2009 football signing class. Plus, Jeff Hartsell chimes-in with his take on this new litter of Dogs; and we get the latest info on the red-hot CItadel basketball squad.

Art Musselman ('60), a member of the famous "Blitz Kids" teams of the late '50s, is this week's Band of Gold Spotlight. This weekend Musselman's jersey is being honored at The Citadel. Also, the current Dogs win three big SoCon games in a row, including a home rout of the College of Charleston. And Jeff Hartsell of the Post and Courier has the latest info on football recruiting.

The late E.B. Peebles ('39) is the Band of Gold Spotlight this week. His grandson, Bush Peebles ('90), as well as his nephew, Col. Lee Jones, share memories of this Mobile, Ala., legend. This weekend the Senior Bowl takes place in Mobile at 40,646 seat Ladd-Peebles Stadium, co-named in the Citadel graduate's honor. Also, Jeff Hartsell has the latest in recruiting news for the football team. And we get you ready for the COC-Citadel basketball game on Saturday.

Dr. Bill Schupp ('62), president of The Citadel Basketball Association, is this week's Band of Gold Spotlight. He discusses the hard work his volunteer organization has performed to further Citadel basketball. Also, Jeff Hartsell and Jim Waddill have fun discussing the hair length of Citadel athletes. And the Echo Taps portion of the show includes a tribute to Major Brian M. Mescall ('97), who was killed in action in Afghanistan on Jan. 9.

"Mr. Two Bits," aka George Edmondson ('45), is this week's special guest. For 60 years Edmondson has rooted on the Florida Gators, who take on The Citadel this weekend. We hear his story of cadet life during World War II. Also, Jeff Hartsell recaps the dramatic homecoming win over UTC.

Citadel athletic director Larry Leckonby is a special guest this week, as is Citadel great Bubba Kennedy ('70). Leckonby has breaking news about the football team's '09 game in Columbia against South Carolina. He also gets the Bulldog Nation ready for Homecoming '08. Kennedy is the Band of Gold Spotlight, and shares info about his two decades of work at El Cid, and what he's doing now in the Upstate.

Beat Wofford Week. The Dogs look to get on the winning track in Spartanburg. The GrayLine guys discuss the tough triple overtime loss to Georgia Southern (and the lack of Corps support at the game). Also, Col. Tony Lackey ('61) is this week's Band of Gold Spotlight. We find out what the former assistant commandant is doing now at El Cid.

John Saunders, a junior cadet from Walterboro, S.C., calls the GrayLine to discuss an interesting proposal he has for governing the Corps' disciplinary issues. Also, Jeff Hartsell and the guys break-down the lopsided loss to Samford, and what the Dogs need to do to get ready for a big home game against the Georgia Southern Eagles.

The Eternal Cadet calls-in to share his thoughts from within the Corps of Cadets. Also, Jeff Hartsell shares insight into why the Dogs were whipped in Greenville by the FU Paladins. What do the boys need to do to get ready to hit I-20 West and face Samford in Birmingham, Ala.?

Furman week. Former Citadel and Furman head football coach Art Baker is a special guest on this edition of "Citadel GrayLine." Also, former Citadel Bulldog and St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Britt Reames ('96) is the Band of Gold Spotlight.

1st Lt. Brian Brennan ('06) is the Band of Gold Spotlight. Brennan was severely wounded fighting in Afghanistan, losing both legs and suffering severe head trauma. He tells us about his recovery; plus Brennan's father, Jim, and former Tango Co. tactical officer Capt. Ken Boes ('84) comment on this outstanding Citadel Man. Also, head football coach Kevin Higgins comments on the lopsided loss at Appalachian State, and what the Dogs need to do to beat Elon on Parents' Weekend 2008.

Col. Harvey Dick ('53) is the Band of Gold Spotlight on this week's "Citadel GrayLine." The former assistant commandant of cadets and Board of Visitors member shares his thoughts on The Citadel, including a few things going on behind Lesesne Gate today. Also, Appalachian State athletic director Charlie Cobb welcomes Citadel fans to Boone, N.C., where the Bulldogs take on ASU this weekend.
