Bill Krause ('63) is the Band of Gold Spotlight.  The California-based entrepreneur has donated more than $10 million to The Citadel in recent years, including the creation of the Krause Center for Leadership & Ethics.  As Krause celebrates his 50th class reunion this weekend, the Bulldog football team will hit the field with questions aplenty, as Kevin Higgins' team dropped its fifth heartbreaker of the year last week at Chattanooga.

Jeffrey Perez, vice president for external affairs at The Citadel, discusses The Citadel's three-peat as U.S. News & World Report's No. 1 top public college in the South.  He also shares info on Leadership Day 2013, this year's cadet enrollment figures, as well as plans for next week's Homecoming.  And PostandCourier.com's Jeff Hartsell reports on the progress of the football team, which enjoyed an open week before heading to Chattanooga for SoCon action this Saturday.

Georgia Southern gets a win against The Citadel in the closing minutes, dropping the Bulldogs to 2-5 on the season.  The basketball team's third leading scorer last season, P.J. Horgan, is out for this season with a back injury.  And we remember Maj. Gen. James A. Grimsley, Jr. ('42), the school's beloved 16th president that died at the age of 91 on June 11.

Ben Dupree ('14), the Bulldog quarterback that helped the Dogs bite Appalachian State last Saturday in overtime, is the Band of Gold Spotlight.  The Pennsylavanian discusses his game prep, surviving knob year, getting his class ring at Parents' Weekend, and the next opponent (Georgia Southern).   We also have audio this week from Dupree's head coach, as well as knuckleball kicker Thomas Warren.

Greg Delleney ('74) is the Band of Gold Spotlight.   The longtime legislator from Chester serves as chairman of the House judiciary committee.  Also, Jeff Hartsell reviews the Bulldogs' first win of the season, a 28-21 triumph at Western Carolina.  Now the Cadets look to make it two-in-a-row at Old Dominion.

Judson Boehmer ('93), hero of The Citadel's 10-3 upset at Arkansas in 1992, is the Band of Gold Spotlight.   He talks about his days playing for Charlie Taaffe, the infamous watts line scandal at The Citadel, capturing a SoCon championship, and his career as a textile industry executive.  Plus, PostandCourier.com's Jeff Hartsell and host Jon Rawl try and make sense of the Bulldogs' 15th consecutive loss to Wofford.
