Harlem, New York City, December 1920. Even as the bitter cold envelops the city, Harlem is heating up. A vibrant rent party turns deadly when monstrous attackers show up. In the aftermath, two veterans of World War 1, some of the Harlem Hellfighters, are blamed and arrested. Friends of the veterans try to help them by investigating the attackers, who appeared like undead German soldiers from the War. Something dark stalks the streets of Harlem and only a trio of heroes can stop them! In Medieval Europe, the Black Death has taken countless lives. Some of its victims have arisen as the restless undead, killing any who fall in their grasp. The survivors huddle together in walled fortresses and towns, trying to eke a living. Some of the hardier survivors take mercenary work, no matter how dangerous it is.
