Sneaking into a guarded factory surrounded by water is easier said than done, but the Blind Eyes go undercover as new workers. They find dark secrets and darker beings in the depths of the facility! The enclaves need high quality water troughs and a local airport has a number of them. The D4s move in to secure the troughs, but find out there's a reason no one else has looted them so far. The Blind Eyes must lure their enemies away from the Soul Engine. It is an artifact too powerful to fall into their hands. Perhaps a fake Soul Engine built out in the Wastes far from Duskvol will do the job. The crew must trek out into the dangerous wilderness, build an artifact and lure their enemies to it, without being detected. What does this fake Soul Engine even do? The D4s found a cache of valuable technology. Computers that can still run Adobe Flash are incredibly valuable to people interested in exploiting old programs created by the government and large corporations. But a group of heavily armed bandits (some might call them mall ninjas) hold the computers. Separating the machines from their owners is easier said than done. The Blind Eyes wish to provoke a gang war between the Silver Nails, a mercenary group that specializes in slaying the unquiet dead and dealing with other occult dangers, and Lord Scurlock's minions. The D4s have a new team member, Delta, to help them finish the score they tried last time. An enclave has an abundance of high quality rope but they face internal strife due to competing factions. World building is a fun part of preparing a game but it's still work. Sometimes you may need help generating ideas. James D'Amato from the One Shot podcast released a new book called The Ultimate RPG Game Master's Worldbuilding Guide, which contains many exercises to build up a world. The Blind Eyes know that a powerful guild of merchants, The Hive, knows the location of a powerful artifact they need. The information is kept in a book hidden in a vault controlled by the Hive. Only one member of the Hive, the loremaster, has access to the vault. The Blind Eyes decide to infiltrate the Hive and ingratiate themselves to the loremaster. Then they must convince Lord Scurlock's faction that the Silver Nails are behind their latest defeats because they are allied with the Spirit Wardens. The Blind Eyes now know that a powerful occult artifact, the Soul Engine, is important in the struggle between the two demons. But what is the Soul Engine and where is it? Some of the knowledge they seek lies hidden in a noble's library. The crew must find a way into the library so they can search it. It is too heavily guarded to take by force, so they decide to use deception to gain access. Their con can only fool the nobles for so long though. Will it be enough time to find the lore? A cluster of enclaves in Missouri faces annihilation at the hands of a massive horde of the undead. Their only hope is to prepare for war, a job for their preeminent taker crew, the D4s. Led by a (reform) Black Math cultist, the crew drives an armored vehicle, the Dragula, so they focus exclusively on taking scores. They need to build up their warchest of assets to use against the horde if they want to stand a chance. Their first score involves retrieving a cache of weights in a gym, but the building has partially collapsed into a nearby river. What lurks beneath may spell their doom.
