Memorial Day Flash Special - Return To Pepperland
26/05/2017 Duración: 34minA personal remembrance from DJ Andrew Sandoval: "I grew up in a Beatle obsessed household that was mostly glued to KHJ 93 in beautiful Boss Angeles. Forty years ago, my parents taped a multi-part history of The Beatles "The Long And Winding Road" which was never repeated anywhere. It colored my observations and historical knowledge of The Beatles, with fantastic interviews from Mal Evans, John Lennon, Dick James & Derek Taylor. I have excerpted the 1967 Pepper segment for you to hear. Hosted by Dr. John Leader (who was with KHJ from 1975-1977), it is a truly fascinating time capsule. Listen out for Mal Evans explaining how he co-wrote a few of the songs on The Beatles landmark classic album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (released fifty years ago this week).
