Grizzled Young Metal Vet, Walter Howell from Foul Spirits answers the phone to tell us a little about the old school Cleveland metal band Boulder and he picks the song of day for us too.

Episode 2 of Keeping it 99 Presents LOCALIZE IT, we have Akron Podcast icon, singer, rapper, beat maker, Sean Ast, and he picks a band everyone should love Sofa King Killer. Sean gives a sweet history lesson on the band, and it was a lot of fun to talk with him.

Music blogger and musician Jason Luchka (DeathCrawl, Supercorrupter) joins us to tell us the history of legendary Northeast Radio station 88.9 V-Rock. He was a DJ and program director in the early stages of the station's transition into being all metal. He has some great stories, and it was a real good and informative time about a piece of NE Ohio metal history. We also chat about his current bands DeathCrawl and Supercorrupter, and yep we play some of their music on this one too! 

This week we talk about the Machine Head singer and his wild antics, FLAW stealing music, a Christmas Party you need to go to, and we play music from Cleveland bands Fermentation and Half Raised Heathens. 

We hang out with Brandyn, Pat, and Ang from the Kent band In Malum, and we discuss everything from shows to their roots to friendships to cult leaders. They have a New EP dropping on October 12 called Descent Into Madness, and it's a banger. We also play Flashbacks Of Violence off of the EP.  

This week we talk about the upcoming Speedbump Fest, the bands playing it, and where they got their band names from. Speedbump Fest is put together by Last Letter Project, supporting mental health and addiction, in honor of Garrett Janos. It's a great cause with some great bands, and we were honored to do a podcast covering it. 

Today, we talk with Larry Gargus (Persistent Aggressor,Don Austin) about his roots in the music scene, his current band Persistent Aggressor, and a wide array of topics like KISS, spinning records, early punk rock, and everything in between. We finally have Drummer/Sound Guy/Piano Fixer Nick Cetrone on the show. We talk about his roots in drumming, his many bands, playing drums at Cavs games, being the sound guy for bands, and all kinds of things. It's a super fun interview. We play songs by 2 bands he plays drums for, Indigo Lake and Replicas.
