TATP Archives: Episode 60 - Bug Hunter
23/11/2018 Duración: 44minBug Hunter is a Seattle-based project started by Cody Hunter, aka "Bug". The first album, Torn Between a Couple, and the subsequent single, "Dear McCracken", were all recorded in Bug's closet while working full time in Seattle. After a couple viral videos on reddit and imgur, Bug decided to get a full band together, go on tour, and try to fund a full album on Kickstarter. They succeeded and recorded the new album at 1-Shot Studio in Woodinville, WA. Rain City Collective said this of the new album, titled "The Rough Draft": "This album is no rough draft, it's a turning point for Bug Hunter---a band on the rise... [Bug] may be one of the best lyricists in our region or beyond. No other bands out there are doing thoughtful, self-reflective pop this well.” Songs Featured: Dear McCracken Deserve Me Listen To Your Mom https://bughunterbug.bandcamp.com/ https://open.spotify.com/artist/3icuKNh1iYRvYPiEkxiAfR

TATP Archives: Episode 58 - Kimaya Diggs
25/07/2018 Duración: 48minWith influences spanning many genres, Kimaya Diggs melds the folky acrobatics of Joni Mitchell, the jazz stylings of Ella Fitzgerald, the catchy soul of Lianne LaHavas, and yet has something you can't quite put your finger on that makes her entirely unique. Her mastery of her voice is the focal point of each performance, and a transfixing experience. Her debut album, Breastfed, is a chronicle of bittersweet growing pains, expansive and generous. Whether roaring along with reckless urgency or irreverently recounting painful memories, Breastfed wrangles the growing-up narrative in a boldfaced, darkly humorous way.
