  • Tri State - The 730 Interview

    27/03/2017 Duración: 44min

In a year when society feels like it's had a bag pulled over its head, turned upside down, and curbstomped, it's refreshing to know that dope music still exists. I find Tri State, whose resume and affiliations are more impressive than most in the president's cabinet, on the day when the proposed repeal of the Affordable Care Act was postponed. There couldn't be a better time to talk to the Gold Chain Military representative, whose new album, 3 Dimensional Prescriptions, touches on the future of medical care. But that's not all. This album, produced entirely by Oh No, let's us see the Los Angeles native in a light different from what shines on him as part of Durag Dynasty or his other high octane groups. Tri State gets personal while showing why he may just have one of the best albums to drop in 2017. twitter.com/iamtristate twitter.com/seven3zero www.amazon.com/Words-1-Brian-Kayser/dp/1535126035

  • Eff Yoo - The 730 Interview

    13/03/2017 Duración: 52min

The self-described Peruvian Bruce Lee, hailing from Queens County, needs his Chinese food. And he'll get it, but not before finishing a dope interview with WeGoinIN. If you don't want to gain insight into the MC, at least listen to the interview to hear what he orders as well as how long it takes. And while most MCs say they do it for hip-hop, how many would put their hot wonton soup to the side, where it's probably cooling in the BPA-infested container, to break down their art? And a little more backstory for those who need it- last year, the phonetically-aware Eff Yoo dropped the ridiculously dope project The Eff Word with producer Ridiculous. See the pun there? All cornball jokes aside, the project was a banger and showed the growth of an incredibly talented MC. Check him out here as he recounts his history in the game, how he got his name, his work in the early days of Rawkus, the creative process, and much more. http://twitter.com/OGeffyoo http:/twitter.com/seven3zero www.amazon.com/Words-1-Brian-Kayse

  • DJ Skizz - The 730 Interview

    06/03/2017 Duración: 53min

If you hear a grimy beat that's so ridiculously filthy, I mean, we're talking huge levels of grime, like Pigpen doing Suga Free karaoake in an Oklahoma strip club for the breakfast crowd on a weekday, there's a good chance that's a DJ Skizz production. And while the talented producer probably isn't a part of the Oklahoma strip club weekday breakfast scene, he is in the elite group of producers dedicated to the craft of dropping hardbody beats for the illest MCs in the game, like Milano Constantine. Together, they just dropped an EP, The Way We Were, which is 'Lano's first official release in a minute. The talented MC hasn't lost a step, but it'd be hard for him to falter over the Skizz backdrops. Before the Milano project, Skizz released a critically-acclaimed compilation over the summer, Cruise Control, that was a who's-who of talented rappers. And this is just the beginning for the former Halftime Show DJ. Expect to see the name pop up a lot more in the future, but for now, check out Skizz as he waxes poeti

  • Audible Doctor - The 730 Interview

    27/02/2017 Duración: 54min

The Q-Unique and Brown Bag All-Star connection was one forged at Fat Beats, one of the iconic hip-hop landmarks that has gone the way of dodo and dope mixtapes. On their collaborative album, Blaq Coffee, Q-Unique revisits his boom-bap roots as he gets incredibly personal and reflective. None of that would have been possible without the soundscapes crafted by Audible Doctor, DJ Element, and J57. In this interview, AD discusses the making of Blaq Coffee, the underground hip-hop business, his under-the-underground roots, preventing the burn-out, his production process, the possibility of a sequel, and more. http://twitter.com/audibledoctor http://twitter.com/seven3zero www.amazon.com/Words-1-Brian-Kayser/dp/1535126035

  • NEMS - The 730 Interview

    23/02/2017 Duración: 01h12min

From mothers trying to cop FYL jumpers for their offspring to hitting the bars with Poison Pen, NEMS will keep you entertained while possessing zero regard for your life. Although on closer inspection, that may not be true. The Coney Island product uses his music as a form of therapy, recounting his issues with drugs while proudly proclaiming his sobriety, one gets the feeling he's not just doing it for himself. Although let's be clear - you will catch hands if you fake moves and if you do, you'll have no one to blame but yourself. And make no mistake, it's Gorilla NEMS season. After laying low from music in 2016, NEMS focused on building his FYL brand while making plans for a monster 2017. With the release of Skinny NEMS, an almost-three hour compilation featuring NEMS's best tracks over the years, including his collabs with PH, Sean Price, Kool G. Rap, Ghostface Killah, Danse, and of course Poison Pen. In this exclusive interview, NEMS speaks on battling his personal demons, his FYL brand, why he doesn't n
