  • 614 – Season Six Wrap Up

    03/07/2013 Duración: 01h17min

This is it!  The final podcast of the season!  It’s a bittersweet symphony as Jim and A.Ron talk about major events in season six, predictions for next year, and consider one last round of our awesome listener feedback.  A couple of links for your enjoyment… * The Vietnam War parallels of Detroit/Chevy * http://madmenwiththingsdrawnonthem.tumblr.com/

  • 613 – “In Care Of”

    26/06/2013 Duración: 02h17min

Our podcast covering the season 6 finale of Mad Men is almost as long as the season was good.  So long, in fact, that I don’t even have time to write a fancy description for it.

  • 612 – “The Quality of Mercy”

    19/06/2013 Duración: 02h03min

Quality of Mercy? Let me tell you what the quality of mercy is. It’s not shooting a man in the face and it’s not keeping a gay man under your thumb and pretending you’re doing him a favor. The quality of mercy is finally posting a podcast at 1:30am on a weeknight after hours of recording, re-recording and editing. That, my friends, is the quality of mercy. And I’m feeling pretty damned merciful right now.

  • 611 – “Favors”

    12/06/2013 Duración: 01h41min

Is it really so impossible to imagine?  If a podcast took care of you, very good care of you… if this podcast would do anything for you, if your entertainment was its only thought, is it impossible that you might begin to feel something for it?  *knees move* *eyes narrow*  Well, how about we forget that happened and you give us one month’s pay toward our Kickstarter?

  • 610 – “A Tale of Two Cities”

    05/06/2013 Duración: 01h47min

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times… to be a partner at SC&P.  The good news is, either way you’re getting high.  Listen in as A.Ron and I discuss Ginsburg’s mental issues, the (homo?)sexuality of Bob Benson, and whether or not Don has ever smoked a rizzo.

  • 609 – “The Better Half”

    29/05/2013 Duración: 01h53min

In this action packed episode of the Happy Hour, Jim and A.Ron discuss the Greater Margarine Mad Men theory, the desperation of Pete Campbell, international man of mystery Bob Bunson, Roger failing at every level of fatherhood, and Betty offering amazingly clear insights into the very soul of our favorite high functioning g sociopath, Don Draper. All this plus high quality feedback from our awesome fans. We love you!

  • 608 – “The Crash”

    22/05/2013 Duración: 01h38min

I’ve got it.  It’s the perfect pitch… It’s June in New York.  A man is wildly tapdancing in front of his boss.  A mysterious man named Ed knowingly shoots a man with a history of heart problems full of amphetamines.  The amphetamines are the desire in each of us to make a pass at Peggy.  And the tapdancing?  Fucked if I know!

  • 607 – “Man with the Plan”

    15/05/2013 Duración: 01h34min

What did you say to me?  That’s right, you said “I need a Mad Men podcast and only the Happy Hour will do”.  Now you’re going to undress and listen to this episode.  I don’t care that you’re at work.  You exist in your office for my pleasure.  You’ll listen to this podcast and stay where you are until I return with another.  If you’ve been paying attention, you can probably guess when that will be…  but you’re not allowed to guess.  This is over when I say it’s over.

  • 606 – “For Immediate Release”

    08/05/2013 Duración: 01h39min

Indianapolis, IN. May 7th, 2013. For immediate release. Bald Move would like to announce a merger between comedy and insight that we’re calling Mad Men Happy Hour.  This joining of forces will allow us to cover a variety of topics including the future of SCDP, the consistency of junkie poop and the biggest, blackest hooker you’ve ever seen. Expect greatness.

  • 605 – “The Flood”

    01/05/2013 Duración: 01h45min

What does it take to get Jim to do hours of research on the history of race in America?  A damned fine episode of Mad Men, that’s what.  And what does it take to get him to make dick jokes with his co-host for the last third of a podcast?  That same episode of Mad Men, apparently.

  • 604 – “To Have and To Hold”

    24/04/2013 Duración: 01h39min

Come with me on a quick tour of the Pete Pit, what some consider the tenth circle of hell. On your left you’ll see Don “The Cheater” Draper.  Not only does he have the insolence to call his wife a whore, but he possesses the gall to immediately then sleep with his mistress. On your right, Pete “GLP” Campbell, the man who puts the “Grimy”, “Little” and “Pimp” in “Grimy Little Pimp”.  His heinous acts are well known and bear no repeating, beside being unfit for any audience. And in the center, Timmy “Ketchup” Jablonski.  We obviously don’t know much about him yet but unless you enjoy your ring finger doused in saliva like a ketchup-covered Oscar Mayer, you probably shouldn’t conduct your business with him.

  • 603 – “The Collaborators”

    17/04/2013 Duración: 01h45min

The Coca-Cola of podcasts is back for another week of analysis, this time with even more off-putting characters.  We discuss how well Don compartmentalizes his affairs, dub Pete’s apartment in the city, and stumble through the 2nd circle of hell.

  • 601 & 602 – “The Doorway”

    10/04/2013 Duración: 02h15min

Dante would have you believe that there are 9 circles of hell.  With the help of Matt Weiner however, Jim and A.Ron have uncovered a 10th, even more heinous circle known as the two-and-a-half-hour podcast.  There’s plenty of discussion about Roger’s couch sessions, the cyclical nature of Don’s life and Stan’s glorious new beard.

  • 600 – Season Six Preview Cast

    05/04/2013 Duración: 25min

Mad Men comes back this weekend, and Jim and A.Ron come back… now?  I guess?  Is how this works?  Join us for a discussion of where we last left Don, Peggy, Joan, Pete, Roger, and more as we shake off the Mad Men rust and get prepped for season six!

  • 513 – “The Phantom”

    13/06/2012 Duración: 01h31min

Well people, it’s been fun.  We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve said good bye to several characters, some more permanently than others.  In this episode of the Happy Hour, we part ways with Mad Men after another phenomenal season, as we cover the finale episode “The Phantom”.  We talk Pete’s unhappiness, Megan’s treachery, Don’s rot problem, and Peggy’s “supreme happiness”.  And as always, feedback and thoughts from our all-star cast of listeners and fellow fans. Thanks again for all your support through the season.  It means everything to Jim and I, and keeps us going. • 512 – “Commissions and Fees”

    06/06/2012 Duración: 01h41min

Jim and A.Ron mourn the death of decent man in this week’s podcast, featuring our complete coverage of the penultimate episode of Mad Men season five, “Commissions and Fees”.  A decent, thieving, book cooking man, which by SCDP standards makes him something of a Saint.  Somber as the subject matter is, you know we’ll find a way to have at least a little bit of fun with it. If you want to give us a shout out, or otherwise give us a piece of your mind, email us, check us out on Facebook, or Tweet us.  As always, we appreciate any love you can give us on iTunes, and your patronage of our amazon affiliate link, amazon.baldmove.com. • 511 – “The Other Woman”

    30/05/2012 Duración: 01h36min

Jim and A.Ron thought this was the best Mad Men of the season, and one of the all time greats.  But what did you think?  Join us for a discussion of prostitution, privilege, pimps, Pete, and as always, your awesome feedback. If you want to give us a shout out, or otherwise give us a piece of your mind, email us, check us out on Facebook, or Tweet us.  As always, we appreciate any love you can give us on iTunes, and your patronage of our amazon affiliate link, amazon.baldmove.com. • 510 – “Christmas Waltz”

    23/05/2012 Duración: 01h32min

Jim and A.Ron break down episode 510 of Mad Men, “Christmas Waltz”, alternatively titled “Harry Krishna”.  ‘Tis the season for Lane to be upgraded to full suicide watch, to speculate on Don, Megan, Roger and Joan’s love-square and  debate Paul’s devotion to the Krishna’s. If you want to give us a shout out, or otherwise give us a piece of your mind, email us, check us out on Facebook, or Tweet us.  As always, we appreciate any love you can give us on iTunes, and your patronage of our amazon affiliate link, amazon.baldmove.com. • 509 – “Dark Shadows”

    16/05/2012 Duración: 01h37min

Jim and A.Ron break down episode 509 of Mad Men, “Dark Shadows”.  In which we’re treated to multi-generational Draper bitchface, multi-cultural prejudice, and poison clouds of gas.  It probably didn’t originate from Betty, but we can’t really be sure. If you want to give us a shout out, or otherwise give us a piece of your mind, email us, check us out on Facebook, or Tweet us.  As always, we appreciate any love you can give us on iTunes, and your patronage of our amazon affiliate link, amazon.baldmove.com. • 508 – “Lady Lazarus”

    09/05/2012 Duración: 01h34min

Jim and A.Ron break down episode 508 of Mad Men, “Lady Lazarus”.  We have a feeling Pete will need a lot more than a cat’s nine lives to make it out of this season alive!  No psychorock goes unturned as we examine entitlement, misogyny, daddy issues, and the size of Harry’s yang. If you want to give us a shout out, or otherwise give us a piece of your mind, email us, check us out on Facebook, or Tweet us.  As always, we appreciate any love you can give us on iTunes, and your patronage of our amazon affiliate link, amazon.baldmove.com.
