047 - The Long Walk / Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale
16/09/2025 Duración: 01h48min047 - The long Walk, Dir. Francis Lawrence The Long Walk is a dystopian, post modern Civil War America. Every year each state is represented by a young boy who walks for the grand prize of whatever they want. The cost of victory? The other 49 have to be dead. There s no finish line and no breaks. To fall behind or stop is to be killed. Par the corse for Stephen King. Mark Hamill (The Major) plays his part beautifully as the guy we love to hate. Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale (timecode below) finds Lady Mary Talbot and family a year into The Great Depression and rocked with a scandal. It's ore of what we've come to love about the show- excellent writing, brilliant performances, and an old world English charm that keeps us coming back for more. If you're a fan of Downton Abbey, this one will put a smile on your face. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:08:30 - Box Office 0:11:15 - The Best Toy Story Movie? 0:18:50 - Movie Recommendation- The Road, Dir. The Warrens have been famous for their insight on Witchcraft and Demonology and have done battle with Annabelle, Valek and many other unsavory demons that haunt our world. 045 - Caught Stealing
02/09/2025 Duración: 01h35min045 - Caught Stealing, Dir. Darren Aronofsky Caught Stealing is okay. It's not the best movie you'll watch this year but not the worst either. Austin Butler leads the cast as Hank, a guy who missed his chance earlier in his life due to an accident he caused that he still hasn't come to terms with, but when he gets caught up in his neighbors business, he is forced to step up and try to stay one step ahead of everyone after him. 043 - Nobody 2
19/08/2025 Duración: 01h30min043 - Nobody 2, Dir. Timo Tjahjanto Nobody 2 is more of what Nobody (2021) gave us- just done a little less effectively. Hutch takes his family to the one place his father took him and his brother as kids to make family memories that will last. But they learn the corrupt sheriff and the town drug lord have plans they do not wish to be disturbed. What follows is great action, A cheesy villain, and Christopher Lloyd operating a hand-cranked machine gun. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:10:00 - Box Office 0:13:00 - Movie Recommendation- Nobody, Dir. 041 - The Naked Gun (2025)
05/08/2025 Duración: 01h43min041 - The Naked Gun (2025), Dir. Akiva Schaffer The Naked Gun Trilogy from decades ago was once the gold standard for comedy. It is a great pleasure to see the revival work so well with the right elements in play to make a really great 30 years later sequel and, hopefully, give us another hilarious trilogy. Liam Neeson is, as always, awesome as the lead character of Frank Drebin Jr. There is a laugh a minute, with most laughs landing very well creating a very rare phenomena today of an entire theater full laughing in unison more than a few times. Check this one out and prepare for some chuckles. 039 - I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025)
22/07/2025 Duración: 01h11min039 - I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025, Dir. Jennifer Kaylin Robinson I Know What you Did Last Summer (1997) was a pretty big hit. Just a year after Scream revived the slasher genre, it had a huge cast, screenwriter Kevin Williamson, and the and aesthetics of the over produced, over dramatic big budget mid to late 90's. I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025) sadly doesn't have any of the above except for Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prince Jr. It does have a few laughs but the magic of the 90's is definitely absent here. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:01:45 - Box Office 0:03:00 - Movie Recommendation- Smile, Dir. 038 - Superman (2025)
15/07/2025 Duración: 02h03min038 - Superman, Dir. James Gunn Superman (2025) was a pretty important movie to get right. We are very happy that it is a win for the DC Fandom and a good start for whatever plans James Gunn has in store for the new DCEU. This one more closely resembles a comic book feel and look. David Corenswet's Superman and Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor feel very faithful to the source material and serve the story well. Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane is also wonderful casting. If you are curious to check this out- don't miss it on the big screen. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:10:00 - Box Office 0:14:15 - Movie Recommendation- The Batman, Dir. 037 - Jurassic World: Rebirth
08/07/2025 Duración: 01h51min037 - Jurassic World: Rebirth, Dir. Gareth Edwards People love some dinosaur action on the big screen. Since 1993, Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films have made billions of dollars in the box office. The Jurassic World Trilogy ended in 2022 with what should have been the final installment, Jurassic World: Dominion. Yet, in 2025, we got another installment that is as confused about what it wants to do as we are to receive it. Rebirth leaves alot to be desired, battling Dominion and Fallen Kingdom for the right to be called the worst film in the franchise. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:08:00 - Box Office 0:15:30 - Trailer- The Odyssey, Dir. 036 - F1: The Movie
01/07/2025 Duración: 01h53min036 - F1: The Movie, Dir. Joseph Kosinski The wait for Joseph Kosinski's next great film is over- and F1: The Movie is it. Summer Blockbusters don't get any bigger, nor can they have a bigger star than this one. Kosinski delivers again so much of what made Top Gun: Maverick so incredible- The deep and interwoven narrative that so wonderfully gives us real characters with a sweeping and emotional score. F1 is worth the wait and is that film, complimented by a deep and haunting Hans Zimmer score. If you can see it on an IMAX screen or Dolby Digital, you will be amazed as the film takes you on the F1 track and puts you in directly in the cockpit of a Formula 1 car with a larger than life star. Don't miss this in theaters. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:14:30 - Box Office 0:17:10 - Movie Recommendation- Gran Tourismo , Dir. 035 - 28 Years Later
24/06/2025 Duración: 02h02min035 - 28 Years Later, Dir. Danny Boyle In, 2002, Danny Boyle brought us a terrifying new take on the "Zombie" genre. 28 Days Later was the natural evolution of the Zombie film. The rage infected are scarier, more deadly, quicker and were hard to fight. 28 Days Later made zombies scary again on the big screen with a bold new vision of how they could be. In 2007, 28 Weeks Later had a larger budget and the Hollywood treatment with faster paced action, bigger cast list and an expanded view of the 28 franchise. Now in 2025, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland return to Gove us latest installment in an even more expanded world of quarantined Britain and surrounding islands. It's been 28 years since in outbreak and life in Britain is still horrifying, to say the least. 28 Years Later is weird but, ultimately, a pretty decent movie. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:14:00 - Box Office 0:17:00 - Movie Recommendation- Shaun of the Dead, Dir. 034 - How to Train your Dragon (2025)
17/06/2025 Duración: 01h52min034 - How to Train Your Dragon (2025), Dir. Dean DeBlois In 2010, How to Train Your Dragon was an absolute masterpiece of a movie. In 2025, while it may not be a perfect 10 like the animated original, the remake is a wonderful and faithful adaption. it's not quite shot for shot, adding more depth to some sequences that would require a more human element with pacing, while still maintaining the soul and adventure of the original. Some characters don't translate nearly as well but still do work. If you liked the animated, you will absolutely like this one also. See it in IMAX if you can- the flight sequences are really something to see. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:07:00 - Box Office 0:09:00 - Movie Recommendation- John Wick: Chapter 4, Dir. 10/06/2025 Duración: 01h56min033 - From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, Dir. Len Wiseman John Wick has been around since 2014. Three chapters and an episodic series later, we get film in the same universe but based on another character, Eve, played by the wonderful Ana de Armas. She's not as refined or poetic in her Gun-Fu as John Wick but damn near just as fun to watch. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:12:30 - Box Office 0:15:45 - Trailer - Nobody 2 0:21:45 - Movie Recommendation- John Wick: Chapter 4, Dir. 032 - Lilo & Stitch
03/06/2025 Duración: 01h35min032 - Lilo & Stitch (2025), Dir. Dean Fleischer Camp Lilo & Stitch is beloved by a whole generation. It came at the end of an era for Disney- one of the stronger ones they've had. This live action remake, like The Lion King (2019), is a very similar movie that fails to catch the magic of the original. Stitch is great, though, and absolutely worth the price of admission and the reason this film was made. 0:00:00 - Introductions and Banter 0:10:00 - Box Office 0:13:50 - Trailers - Happy Gilmore 2, Netflix 0:24:50 - Movie Recommendation- Lilo & Stitch (2002), Dir. 20/05/2025 Duración: 01h55min030 - Final Destinations: Bloodlines, Dir. Lipovsky / Adam B. Stein Final Destination: Bloodlines is another Final Destination movie to the core. There are, however, a few little changes, as in every sequel so far and they are absolutely for better and Bloodlines manages to connect them all in a way that makes sense in this universe. Tony Todd does make an appearance and it's also wonderful.
