This week I’m chatting with Ramsey Avery, the Production Designer behind Disney & Hulu’s sci-fi horror film ’No One Will Save You’. Written and directed by Brian Duffield, ‘No One Will Save You’ follows Brynn (Kaitlyn Dever), an exiled anxiety-ridden homebody, who must battle an alien that found its way into her home. What makes the movie particularly unique is that it features only 5 words of dialogue in the entire movie. This made Ramsey’s job an interesting challenge as he needed to help showcase all of the unspoken storytelling through his production design. It meant that his sets and designs had to be intricately planned and executed to make up for lack of words and to use the world around the main character to explain everything from who Brynn is and her backstory to the reasoning behind her choices and her relationships with other people in town with whom she only has a single non-verbal interaction.It’s a fantastic little film, and if
