Autumn House! This chick is a major powerhouse. She is one of the most influential Women in A&R at UMG Records. So for those of you who don't know what A&R is, basically, Autumn discovers new talent for her label, listens to songs for artists on her label, and helps guide and develop artists as they grow and make music... to name a few things she does. Moved to Nashville, got a record deal on Capitol Records (I interned at Capitol when she was signed there, and have been a huge fan of her for years!), sang a DUET w Keith Urban ("Blue Sky"- talk about powerful song and performance!), then moved to NYC on a whim- she went for a weekend trip then didn't come back for a year or so, entered "America's Got Talent," and got 2nd Place (what!), basically 1st place as far as singing, bc a magician beat her... So in my mind, she won for sure. Emily's voice is other worldly. She is in a league of her own. One of the best voices of our generation.... The Sisterhood! I'm obsessed. I'm not sure how you get cooler, more talented or more beautiful than Alyssa Bonagura and Ruby Stewart. Marcus Hummon! This man is one of the most interesting guys I know. He's truly is a citizen of the world, growing up in Italy, Africa, and the Philippines to name a few. He got a record deal in 1986 and then shortly after started getting cuts with some of the biggest artists in Country Music at the time including Wynonna "Only Love," Alabama "Cheap Seats," and has only continued to have smash hits with Tim McGraw's "One of These Days," and Sara Evan's huge breakout hit "Born To Fly." He then linked up with the Dixie Chicks and cowrote my FAV song ever "Cowboy Take Me Away," and "Ready To Run." In 2005, Marcus won a Grammy for Best Country Song with his Rascal Flatts hit "God Bless The Broken Road." This man has TALENT FOR DAYS. He is also married to Becca Stevens, an Episcopal Priest, who launched the incredible Thistle Farms which is "a sanctuary for healing for women survivors of abuse, addiction, trafficking, and prostitution."
