FACT CHECK - On this episode we advised that the burnout competition still took place during WAW meets at the Perth Motorplex. This is in fact incorrect. For sometime now the burnout competition is held after racing is complete, removing any potential issues that may arise from race cars/bikes potentially collecting debris. We apologise for this error and thank those that have corrected us with this information.

On this episode of Stories from the Garage we catch up with Jake Dimovitis who tells of his 1975 Leyland Clubman Mini, 1957 Ferguson 35 Tractor, 1948 Deering McCormick W4 Tractor and his PT Cooper Shearer Plant. Jake has a keen interest in Farming Equipment and dedicates all of his spare time to restoring not only cars, but volunteering at the Bus Preservation Society and Agricultural Societies in WA. His dedication to such historic machinery is truly second to none and his is quite an inspiring story.

On episode 084 we catch up with Targa Wests Ross Tapper and David Smith to get an update on the evolving situation regarding this year’s calendar for Targa West. Both Ross and David have put together a revised calendar of some of the events and give us an update in terms of dates and revised formats. On this episode we are joined by international rallying and tarmac Champion Alister McRae. From one of the most well know families in motorsport Alister now calls Perth home and he stopped into the studio and had a chat with the guys from Torque n Power. From club rallying in Scotland, through National and International events in the UK and Europe, and on to Asia and the World Championship Alister used his skills, focus, dedication and determination to carve out a Professional career spanning some 25 years. These days he resides in Perth and runs the Driver Risk Management Centre at the Perth Airport.

This is the final installment of the Racewars 20 weekend. We wrap up from the studio the entire weekend with final placings and also cover off on the Westernationals.

We wrap up Day 1 of Racewars along with Tristan from WTFAuto. He gives us an insight to his operation and running a number of cars down for the weekend. While recording Eddy Tassone goes for it on the final pass of the day and goes 346Km/h to the 800mtr.

Held in the amazing South Coast of Western Australia, Racewars has become Australia’s leading runway event showcasing the regional city of Albany.
