This week Des and Mike discussed five Marvel comic books, with those being Avengers: The Initiative #7, Captain Marvel #1, Ghost Rider Annual #1, Punisher War Journal #13 and X-Men: Die by the Sword #3.

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick records amidst a meteorological storm, and overcomes a storm of technical difficulties to bring you another set of novel month interviews. The interviews this week are with Jack Ketchum (Off Season, The Girl Next Door) and Steve Vernon (Hard Roads, Haunted Harbours: Ghost Stories from Old Nova Scotia). Plus, a review of Mike Dubisch's graphic novel Weirdling, news of a friend's short film and the following freaky tunes: "Living Hell" by The Misfits, "Eye of the Storm" by Midnight Syndicate, "Temple of Your Dreams" by Monster Magnet and "Haunted Town" by Lordi.

What causes Jenny to fall into another fit of laughter? Mike says the new red Hulk looks like a what? And why should Rob Liefeld's detractors try the new Youngblood series? All these questions (and more) are answered as Jenny and Mike discuss the November Previews!

Of the five comics Des and Mike reviewed this week (Astonishing X-Men #23, Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #33, Ms. Marvel #21, Mystic Arcana: Sister Grimm and Silver Surfer: In Thy Name #1), they greatly disagreed on two. In fact, in response to Mike's love for one of the comics, Des said, "I'm shocked this book isn't cancelled yet." Ouch!

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick races against time and rings in novel month with interviews of Greg Lamberson (Personal Demons and Johnny Gruesome) and Keith Latch (A Ghost Story and Cemetery Things). Hear what these writers have to say about their craft, their work and tons of other good stuff like B movies and prisons! As they review Saw IV, Jenny and Mike explore the two major plot holes in the film, but they aren't what you think.

This week your friendly hosts took a break from Batman: The Animated Series (sort of). Instead of covering five episode of the show that launched the DC Animated Universe, they discussed the first (and only) DCAU theatrical release. Oh yes, it's Batman: Mask of the Phantasm!

Here we are again with five more early comic book reviews. This time Des and Mike cover Daredevil Annual #1, Iron Man #23, Mythos: Fantastic Four, Sub-Mariner #5 and Ultimate Power #8. Though they agree on most of the books, one of the issues has them at different ends of the spectrum.

Ben triumphantly returns for another Roadkill Review; this time he and Desmond talk about 30 Days of Night on the drive home from the theater. Which one of them is out of his mind? Studios this week. All while staying upright in his chair, nonetheless!
