Marise Gaughan started her comedy career in L.A. as a kind of bet. She has been plying her trade between Dublin and London for the last couple of years and is about to do her first full run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year. Last year she performed her show "Drowning' at the Dublin Fringe Festival. She has a wonderful dark edge to her comedy that a comedian with less charisma would fail to pull off. Justin Kelly is singer and lyric writer with The Sons Of Southern Ulster. Hailing from Bailieborough, Co Cavan, the Sons of Southern Ulster includes David Meagher, who lives in the Ballina/Killaloe area and Justin Kelly based in Boston. Last year the Sons got together to release an album ('Foundry Folk Songs') of songs about growing up in Cavan in the early 80s! Despite the Cavan roots, the content is relevant to pretty much all of rural Ireland of the time. The album has been received very favourably, with great reviews and receiving an Irish Times Song of the Week accolade. Their music has brought comparisons with The Fall, Sleaford Mods and A House.  The songs focus on life in rural Ireland in the 80s, providing a warts-and-all description of a place that was both innocent and abrasive. Sharon Mannion is an actress, comedian and writer best known for her role as Concepta in the RTE2 hit comedy Bridget & Eamon. She has co-written several contributions for RTE's Republic of Telly and she has also written and performed alongside PJ Gallagher in the hidden-camera series Trojan Donkey for Channel 4\. Sean Finnerty is the first and only Irish comedian to appear on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. At the age of 21 Sean decided to move to the USA. Spending his first few years in comedy based out of Orlando Sean was selected Sean was selected for Comedy Central's up next competition.  In 2016 Sean moved to New York where he quickly became known as one to watch, performing in famous venues such as the Comedy Cellar, Gotham Comedy Club and Carolines on Broadway. A keen eye for detail Sean has also developed a reputation as a roaster and is currently ranked No. 1 roast comic in New York City. Dan Bell is the owner of Dan Bell Casting based in L.A. He is a former actor best known for his parts in Wayne's World, Wayne's World 2 and Darkman starring Liam Neeson. Sean Lock is an English comedian and actor. He began his comedy career as a stand-up comedian, won the British Comedy Award in 2000 in the category of Best Live Comic, and was nominated for the Perrier Comedy Award.  Lock is well known for his appearances on television and radio. He has written material for Bill Bailey, Lee Evans and Mark Lamarr and was voted the 55th greatest stand-up comic on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups in 2007 and again in the updated 2010 list as the nineteenth greatest stand-up comic. He is possibly best known for his role as a team captain on Channel 4 comedy panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats since it began from 2005-2015, and on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown since 2012\. Cavan man Aidan Greene had a sold out run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his show (500) Days of Stammer , a one man show about stammering and falling in love. The show was performed to acclaim in Dublin, Albuquerque and most importantly, Cavan. He co-hosted Cavan the Craic, a stand up compilation show, with fellow Cavan comedian Davey Reilly to full rooms at the 2016 and 2017 Edinburgh Fringe festivals. As well as a comedian Aidan is also an accomplished storyteller. In 2016 he was runner up in the Moth Grandslam in Dublin. His story The Early Days of Stammer was featured on the Moth Radio Hour and broadcast on over 400 radio stations globally, to a listenership of over 30 million.  John Lynn is a comedian, actor, writer and voiceover artist.  As a comedian his television credits include The Liffey Laugh (RTE), One Night Stand (BBC), Stand and Deliver (RTE), Republic of Telly (RTE), Podge and Rodge (RTE), The Apprentice: Your Fired (TV3) and The Craig Doyle Show (RTE ONE). He also co-starred with Tommy Tiernan in the Third Policeman’s Ball, a tribute to Flann O’Brien.  He has performed at the prestigious invite only Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, while being a regular at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs and Iveagh Gardens Comedy Carnival. He made his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2011 with his first solo show Social Networking.  Owen O'Neill is a veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, having performed stand-up or theatre gigs there for over twenty years. He was nominated for the 1994 Perrier Award with his show "It's a Bit Like This", and won a Fringe First in 1999 with Sean Hughes for the theatre show "Dehydrated and Travellin' Light".[4] Theatre sets have included 12 Angry Men, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and The Odd Couple. Stand-up has included "Off My Face" and "It Was Henry Fonda's Fault". As a writer, his debut feature film Arise and Go Now was screened by BBC2 and was directed by Danny Boyle and starred Ian Bannen.[5] He has adapted a number of his works of short fictions to be plays or films. Frank McCaughey is an entrepreneur, video maker, podcaster & writer. After selling his marketing company back in 2012 he has gone on to write a book, make a couple of documentaries, short films and some music videos. With his brother and friends he developed a live music and chat show broadcast on Facebook out of his home attic called Late Night at Franks, and now has a video podcast called Can I Be Frank? His podcasts are about comedy, life, philosophy, acting, entrepreneurship, fitness, adventure and whatever comes up. Ed Sammon is a stand-up comedian, actor and podcaster. The Reviewables podcast which he hosts with Cian McGarrigle is one of my all-time favourite podcasts. I particularly love how they seldom get around to actually reviewing anything. Ed has a great way of going off on imaginatively surreal tangents that can have you giggling to yourself on your journey to and from work (well, wherever you might be listening to the podcast at. He doesn't specialise in commute only humour). Ed plays Father Gabriel in the RTE hit series Bridget and Eamonn and is a brilliant stand up. But take my word for it. Andrew Stanley is an Irish stand up who has appeared at numerous festivals worldwide including The Cat Laughs in Kilkenny, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and Sydneys Cracker Comedy Festival with hour long shows. These included a show with Australian comic, Damian Clark, called I Dare Ya, which went on to become a hit TV show on Irish station RTÉ 2. He also took part in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow in 2009 and the New Zealand Comedy Festival in Auckland in 2010\. He was invited to the prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal where he performed alongside Ardal O'Hanlon, Colm O'Regan and Neil Delamere as part of the O'Comics show. A few years ago I toured The States with Andrew taking in KC, LA, NY, SF, C and B ( you can guess where the last two are and it's not Cincinatti and Buffalo). Where ever we went he developed an immediate rapport with the audience and blew them away with his improvisational crowd work.
