Learn to “Play the Game” and Stop Worrying About the Perfect Swing with Rick Koscher
03/01/2017 Duración: 41min573 Rick Koscher TheGolfBetterCoach.com> gets frustrated with golfers and students who complain about inconsistency when they don’t actually understand how to make “golf shots”. He says “You cannot become a scratch golfer by staying on the driving range”. How many distances and locations can you hit a 7 iron? Most of us will say “about 150 yards”, but to be the best golfer possible, try to focus on hitting that club multiple distances, with a variety of ball flights. If you’re serious about lowering your scores, be creative, use your imagination, and practice on your weaknesses. Instead of buying golf clubs that are popular or new, Rick suggests getting fitted to clubs that "fit your swing".

567: A Thanksgiving Feast of the Greatest Golf Book Ever! THE MATCH with author Mark Frost
22/11/2016 Duración: 33min567: In our previous episode, actor Malcolm McDowell talked about his favorite golf book ever, which so happens to be mine too. “THE MATCH: The Day The Game of Golf Changed Forever” by Mark Frost was published in 2008, but is a great read of nonfiction and in today’s 24 hour news cycle, an unbelievable story that was never told before this book. The audio book and book are both available at Amazon and here’s the write up to the story: The year: 1956. Four decades have passed since Eddie Lowery came to fame as the ten-year-old caddie to U.S. Open Champion Francis Ouimet. Lowery claims that two of his employees, amateur golfers Harvie Ward and Ken Venturi, cannot be beaten in a best-ball match. Lowery challenges Coleman to bring any two golfers of his choice to the course at 10 a.m. the next day to settle the issue. Coleman accepts the challenge and shows up with his own power team:
