  • #398: Dash To The Draft 2023 (AFC North Draft Preview with Bill Carroll)

    17/04/2023 Duración: 31min

    1. Do you think Elijah Moore is as good a talent or better than the WR's and TE's that would likely have been available for the Browns at 42? What are the Browns biggest remaining areas of need? 2. How do you think new Steelers GM Omar Khan will approach the draft differently (even in the most subtle of ways) than his predecessor Kevin Colbert? 3. How should Eric DeCosta and John Harbaugh use this draft to further mend fences with Lamar Jackson even further? 4. If you're the Bengals and had to choose between Darnell Washington and Brian Branch, who would be the pick at 28 and why? 5. Browns three-round mock 6. Steelers three-round mock 7. Ravens three-round mock 8. Bengals three-round mock

  • #397: Dash To The Draft 2023 (AFC West Draft Preview with Nick Kendell)

    14/04/2023 Duración: 30min

    1. Come draft weekend, do you think the Broncos go with George Paton's "more darts" approach, Sean Payton's "quality over quantity" approach, or somewhere in between? Would you anticipate the Broncos trading Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy or both during the draft? 2. If you're Raiders GM Dave Ziegler, do you move heaven and earth to get a deal done with Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort (who he knows very well from their time together in New England) by some time next week (if not sooner), rather than waiting until the night of the draft to pull the trigger? 3. After this season, the Chargers may have to part ways with players like Keenan Allen, Khalil Mack, and J.C. Jackson in order to save more cap space and cash to fund an extension for Justin Herbert. If you're Chargers GM Tom Telesco, do you use this draft to plan a year ahead by selecting players you think can both contribute in situational roles this year and replace the production of those aforementioned players in 202

  • #396: Dash To The Draft 2023 (AFC South Draft Preview with Cole Thompson)

    12/04/2023 Duración: 49min

    1. The latest buzz suggests that there's a good chance the Texans actually pass on taking a QB at 2 if the Panthers select Bryce Young, and the drumbeat of Young indeed being Carolina's choice is growing louder and louder. Are you hearing similar and if so, do you anticipate the Texans trying to trade out of that #2 overall pick should that scenario come to pass? 2. I have not heard any buzz that says the Colts are willing to move up a spot to ensure they land their preferred QB. Have you heard otherwise, and if not, is Chris Ballard just begging to be fired after this season, if not sooner? 3. Do you think trading up to #3 overall for Will Levis would end up being a massively historical mistake for the Titans? 4. As of right now, the Jaguars have an excellent opportunity ahead of them to put a stranglehold on the AFC South for the foreseeable future. When you look at Jacksonville's roster right now, what areas of need should they attack early and often in this draft in order to help them do

  • #395: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Analysis of LB class with Bill Carroll)

    10/04/2023 Duración: 49min

    1. Your colleague and right-hand man at Team NBS Media (and a regular on this program as well) Jeff Barnes said that this LB group is one of the weakest positions in this year's draft. Do you agree? 2. When it comes to Trenton Simpson, what is THE absolute best role for him off the bat? 3. The dilemma when it comes to Drew Sanders for whoever selects him is to either make him a pass rusher most of the time, or to continue and develop his still raw off-ball LB chops and make him a Tremaine Edmunds kind of weapon for your defense. Lance Zierlein of NFL.com believes Drew Sanders can evolve into the latter while Doug Farrar of the USA Today Touchdown Wire believes Sanders will be best as a full-time pass rusher with a healthy amount of box snaps a la Connor Barwin. Do you agree with Zierlein or Farrar's assessment...and why? 4. Even if Jack Campbell's play never lives up to his athletic testing, does the team that selects him have every reason to believe he will be a high-floor, long-term starter

  • #394: Dash To The Draft 2023 (NFC West Draft Preview with Matty Brown)

    08/04/2023 Duración: 59min

    1. If you're Monti Ossenfort, do you only consider trading down to 7 with the Raiders to put yourself in position to get a player like Tyree Wilson or Christian Gonzalez (both of whom the Cardinals reportedly love) or do you trade down to 11 if the Titans give you essentially the same package as the Panthers gave the Bears? With buzz swirling that the Texans may pass on a QB at 2 should the Panthers select Bryce Young, should the Cardinals wait until they're on the clock to trade the pick, or should they cut a deal a week or so before the draft? 2. Do you think the Rams are entering a rebuild? What areas of need would you emphasize the most in this draft if you're Rams GM Les Snead? 3. How would you feel if the Seahawks traded up a few spots with the Cardinals to select Anthony Richardson who they reportedly like a lot? Even with 10 picks total in the draft, would you anticipate John Schneider trying to accumulate even more by trading down from 20? 4. Who are some players likely to go on Day 3

  • #393: Dash To The Draft 2023 (NFC South Draft Preview with Brian Bosarge)

    05/04/2023 Duración: 25min

    1. Is there equally as strong of a case for either Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud to be the top pick, or would you strongly prefer Stroud if you were in the Panthers front office? 2. Why aren't the Falcons urgently working to find that long-term answer at QB? 3. Do you share the assessment that the Saints roster is "old" and "not particularly well-built?" Should Mickey Loomis and Dennis Allen approach this draft differently than they've done in the past by say trading down as opposed to trading up? 4. In a hypothetical scenario with both Robinson and Darnell Wright available when the Bucs are on the clock at 19, in which direction would you go and why? 5. Panthers three-round mock 6. Falcons three-round mock 7. Saints three-round mock 8. Bucs three-round mock

  • #392: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Analysis of DB class with Bill Carroll)

    03/04/2023 Duración: 51min

    1. Christian Gonzalez is almost universally expected to be the top corner off the board, likely within the top-10 picks. What makes Gonzalez such a special prospect? 2. Do you see Devon Witherspoon as worthy of a top-15 pick...or do his size and athleticism (or lack thereof) give you pause? 3. Do you think Joey Porter, Jr.'s best possible fit is with a team that plays a very heavy amount of press coverage...or can he thrive in most other schemes despite those aforementioned weak spots in his game? 4. One of the stars of the Combine at the CB position was Maryland's Deonte Banks. He ran a blazing 4.35 40, jumped a jaw-dropping 42" vertical and 11'4" broad. In your view, does his tape match those traits and thus qualify him for a top-25 selection, if not higher? 5. What else aside from speed will D.J. Turner bring to an NFL defense right away...and is he worth a top-50 pick in your view? 6. How concerned should teams be about Emmanuel Forbes' long-term durability in the NFL at h

  • #391: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Analysis of DL/EDGE class with Carl Dumler)

    31/03/2023 Duración: 44min

    1. How does Will Anderson compare to some of the other generational EDGE prospects of the past 12 years (Von Miller, Khalil Mack, etc.) and did you like his college tape better than any of them? 2. What makes Jalen Carter such a special talent...and if YOU were a GM of a team picking in the top-10, would you still take him if he fell to you? 3. Why do you think some teams are equally as high (or even higher) on Tyree Wilson than they are on Will Anderson? 4. Lukas Van Ness out of Iowa is an intriguing prospect because he can get to the QB from either the edges or the interior. If you were an NFL defensive coordinator, where would you line him up more often and why? 5. What on Nolan Smith's game film makes him worth a selection in the top-15...and what do you think the best role for him is during his first few NFL seasons? 6. How much additional upside do you see in Myles Murphy when it comes to getting after the QB? 7. Do you think Calijah Kancey's size will knock him out of the first round?

  • #390: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Analysis of OL class with Jeff Barnes)

    30/03/2023 Duración: 34min

    1. Do you think Peter Skoronski, like Jets star G Alijah Vera-Tucker, can be that type of player who's a great guard yet can also do an above-average job playing tackle if the situation warrants it? 2. What makes Paris Johnson, Jr. a worthy investment as a top-10 pick? Why is he the top offensive tackle on your board? 3. What is the argument for say the Bears with the ninth overall pick to prefer Broderick Jones over Paris Johnson, Jr.? 4. When looking at Darnell Wright's tape, did the ability he display against Will Anderson in that game show up consistently enough for you to spend a first-round pick on him? 5. When you watch O'Cyrus Torrence on tape, do you see a guy who's fully capable of overcoming those limitations and thus worthy of a late-first round selection? 6. What other attributes of Steve Avila's game, other than positional versatility, stood out to you on tape? 7. Why do you think John Michael Schmitz will probably be the top-ranked center on many (if not most) NFL dr

  • #389: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Analysis of RB class with Bill Carroll)

    28/03/2023 Duración: 58min

    1. What makes Bijan Robinson arguably the best prospect at the running back position since Saquon Barkley? 2. Do you think being an RB2 in a rotation with a limited carry count is the best possible role for Jahmyr Gibbs at the NFL level...or can he be even more? 3. Do you think Devon Achane is worth a top-50 pick? 4. Would you be surprised if Zach Charbonnet is the third RB to go off the board, if not the second ahead of Jahmyr Gibbs? 5. Do you think Tyjae Spears has more than some think as a pass catcher in order to become the weapon at least I think he can become at the NFL level? 6. Is there a sleeper RB prospect in this class that you don't believe is getting the attention he deserves? If so, who is that prospect and why do you love him so much? 7. Buy Or Sell: Zach Evans, Eric Gray, Tank Bigsby, Mohamed Ibrahim, Kenny McIntosh, Roschon Johnson, Deuce Vaughn, Chris Rodriguez, Jr., Evan Hull, Kendre Miller, Cam Peoples 8. Team Fits -Bijan Robinson: Bills, Bengals -Jahmyr Gibbs: Saints, Steeler

  • #388: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Analysis on TE class with Nick Kendell)

    25/03/2023 Duración: 38min

    1. Do you expect to see many (if not most teams) use a lot more 12 personnel than we are used to seeing this season? 2. If a team is looking for a classic "move" tight end with a similar play-style to Travis Kelce, the guy they probably want is Utah's Dalton Kincaid, who is considered the best pure receiving tight end in this class. What makes him such a dangerous weapon in the passing game? 3. What do you see in Luke Musgrave's tape that suggests he can be an even better pro than Dalton Kincaid? 4. Despite his Combine numbers, do you see Michael Mayer as worthy of a top-40 pick...if not earlier? 5. Just how high of a ceiling do you think Darnell Washington has in the passing game? Would converting Darnell Washington to offensive tackle be a good idea in the event he does not reach his potential in the passing game? 6. Buy or Sell: Luke Schoonmaker, Tucker Kraft, Brenton Strange, Davis Allen, Sam LaPorta, Payne Durham 7. Is there a sleeper TE prospect in this class that you don't b

  • #387: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Analysis on WR class with Brian Bosarge)

    22/03/2023 Duración: 23min

    1. When it comes to the wide receivers in the 2023 NFL Draft, it is a very underwhelming group. Not only is there no Ja'Marr Chase-level prospect among them, there isn't even a prospect you can safely say is on the level that Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave were headed into last year's draft. However, if you take a deeper look into this class, one can argue that if you need a receiver who can fill a "niche role" in an offense such as taking the top off of a defense or a reliable "move the chains" target, this draft has some solid options. Wouldn't you say so? 2. As of right now, the top WR (and the ninth overall player) on your board is Quentin Johnston of TCU. While there's quite a bit to like about Johnston, two major red flags stick out to me. First, his propensity for drops and second, the hit rate of Big-12 WR's drafted in the first round is not good, as Daniel Jeremiah noted. Why do you think Johnston has a very good chance to buck this trend? 3. Do you thin

  • #386: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Analysis on QB class with Mark Schofield)

    18/03/2023 Duración: 49min

    1. Did C.J. Stroud's Herculean performance against Georgia convince you that there is FAR more untapped potential with him? 2. Given what you see from him on tape, do you think Bryce Young has a very good chance to be successful for an even longer period of time than Russell Wilson? 3. The most common player comp I've heard for Bryce Young is somebody outside the football world...basketball star Steph Curry, who I think we can now say is the best pure shooter in NBA history. Are you a fan of that comp? 4. As of right now, who do you have ranked higher on your board and why: Young or Stroud? 5. Do you believe that Anthony Richardson has a very good shot to become the latest rare exception to the rule that says QB's with completion percentages substantially below 60 in college don't succeed in the NFL? 6. Do you think there's a good chance that whoever draft Will Levis will get the version of him that we saw in 2021? How fixable are his turnover issues? 7. If say the Seahawks, Raider

  • #385: Dash To The Draft 2023 (Combine Preview + Mock Draft with Jeff Barnes)

    02/03/2023 Duración: 47min

    1. Do you share the sentiment of Mel Kiper, et al that this is not a good draft class? 2. Based on the perceived aforementioned drop-off from Jalen Carter and Will Anderson to the rest of the class, do you think the Bears should only trade back to as far as #4 overall with the Colts? Do you think the best case scenario for the Bears is to initially trade back one spot with the Texans and then trade back again with Indy? 3. When looking at the 2023 draft class in general, which position groups would you say are the strongest and which would you say are the weakest? 4. Aside from the athletic traits and positional value, what makes Anthony Richardson worth an investment in the top half of Round 1? 5. Combine Predictions (Stock Up or Stock Down)     -Devon Achane     -Tyler Scott     -Blake Freeland     -Zach Harrison     -Adetomiwa Adebawore     -DeMarion Overshown 6. First-round mock dra
