Every once in awhile, though it is very rare, 2GAM makes mistakes. Mistakes that sometimes don't make it past the editing stage and see the light of day for our listeners consumption. This is one of those times. After reviewing a movie that left both caster adrift in the swirling sea of confusion, both decided that it would be unfair and embarrassing to release this cast. But every dog has it day, and unfortunately, this is ours. We present to you, our review of Garden of Sinners: Thanatos. A film so confusing, that not even Jahmere could decipher it's meaning. Gundam is a hell of a franchise. Ranging from 120 episode epics, to 6 episode masterpieces, there's a ton of content to sift through...and also there's a lot of subpar content to sift through. "Char's Counterattack," which chronicles the events after the "One Year War" of U.C. fame sees everyone's favorite villain come back to give the victorious (but swelled headed) Earth Federation forces one last taste of battle and the hero from the one year war Amuro Ray's effort to stop him. What follows is a 120 minute journey that feature stupid love triangles, meaningless deaths, the worse Gundam female protagonist of all time, and a conversation about space air....yep..."space air." Strap yourselves in for this one folks, there's a lot of theory being thrown around in this episode. And also a Teen Titans reference. LET'S GO! Originally released July 14th, 2014

The Blazblue series of games has a long and storied past of being pretty hard to follow. And how do you make an anime for a series with a hard to follow plot? Well you don't do what Blazblue alter Memory did, which is dive in headfirst without any safety equipment and by doing so left their viewers in a frantic state of duress as they tried to figure out what's actually going on in the series 12 terrible episodes. Shoddy animation, and a story that jumps all over itself in an effort to actually try and establish some sort of pace, left Jahmere in particular feeling very disappointed. Having made a promise not to go into the Blazblue lore, 2GAM screws themselves over by doing just that as the guys discuss blazblue's history, Arc System Works DLC practices, fighting video games translated into anime is made fun of, and The Last Airbender is mocked, All this and more in the 2GAM podcast! GITS has been an anime mainstay since the early 90's and for many was the beginning of their foray into cyberpunk anime. Although slow at time, the movie is still worth a buy, if only to get into the GITS universe. Mike and Jahmere argue about the subject of immortality, Japan's recent constitutional change, Canada’s involvement in war, WWE'S mishaps, what would happen if Avatar was real, Jahmere gets mad over the movie sluggish pacing, and the weakness of the majors cybernetic body is made fun of. Escaflowne was introduced to many people during the days of the now defunct “FOX Kids” label. Featuring a compelling score, and excellent fight scene, it’s remain as one of the go to titles for fantasy anime….unfortunately, the movie fails in many aspects. In this episode, the casts movie lineup is finally given a name, the main character of the movie is dragged through the mud, and the anime and movie are compared together. Dragonball Z continues to be a shining beacon of hope in shounen anime, producing several good films over its 20 year career, BOG might have proven itself to be one of the more important (albeit silly) films to ever come out of the franchise.
