In recent months there has been a battle between State Auditor Diana DiZoglio and state legislators over efforts to audit the state legislature. Despite an overwhelming number of MA residents, roughly 71%, who approved Question 1 last Fall, which asked if the state auditor should be able to audit the state legislature, Massachusetts House Speaker Ron Mariano opposes the audit and says DiZoglio has turned this into a “political audit”.
