The area of Mass and Cass in Boston where Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard meet is an area ripe with homeless and drug addicts alike that Boston officials have been tackling for years. Mayor Michelle Wu implemented a three-pronged plan to address crime and homelessness in the area last fall, which has only helped to a degree. Last summer, more than 200 people a day were flocking to the area now, there are about 70-80 people.
