Saz, about his “new professional life.” Steve says he has been able to move more to the background of things these days while letting his son and other employees take over. He says it wasn’t hard since they have the “Saz mentaliity.” Steve was working at Major Goolsby’s when he decided he wanted to start his own business in 1976. With just a nickel in his pocket, the rest is history. In this episode, he explains where came up with concept and finding the perfect location. At first, they only sold ribs two days a week. He thinks it was important to focus on just one food item rather than a large variety of items. Steve has now been in business for 41 years now.
