New Broadcaster, Stu Frith and Journalist, Victoria Gaither visited the Patuxent Research Refuge and Visitors Center in Laurel, MD and learn about this wildlife refuge. It was established in 1936 by executive order of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Patuxent Research Refuge is the only National Wildlife Refuge in the United States established to support wildlife research. With land surrounding the Patuxent and Little Patuxent Rivers between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland, the Refuge has grown from the original 2,670 acres (10.8 km2) to its present size of over 12,800 acres (52 km2) and encompasses land formerly managed by the Departments of Agriculture and Defense. Throughout decades of change, Patuxent's mission of conserving and protecting the nation's wildlife and habitat through research and wildlife management techniques has remained virtually unchanged. New Zealand Broadcaster, Stu Frith and Journalist Victoria Gaither had the opportunity to visit the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Stu and Victoria sat in on a Broadcast Committee Meeting and listen to a guest speaker who spoke about his career. They also had a quick tour of the facility and sat down to record a show at the Press Club which Stu says was a 'highlight of his career' being from New Zealand and visiting America. Thanks to the club members, it was a wonderful and memorable experience. This is the show recorded at the club.

Journalist Victoria Gaither from ICR had the chance to interview Ashley who is a Lumber Jill at the Lumber Jack Feud Show. Ashley has been clogging and performing her whole life, beginning at the age of 3. She has performed for many venues, and also teaches clogging at her family's dance studio. In 2012, Ashley embarked into the world of Lumberjacks and Timbersports and has been training hard at being a "lumberjill" since that time. She enjoys what she does and is thankful to be a part of the Lumberjack Feud.
