Episode 327: Magical adjustments
19/11/2019 Duración: 12minChiropractic is magic! Small victories is what it is all about. What we are about is changing brains not changing backs. Let's teach our practice members and teach our students and teach our staff what to expect and that when the brain changes, everything changes!

Episode 326: Chiropractic in a salutogenic model
12/11/2019 Duración: 07minWhat is salutogenesis? In a phrase: you can always improve your health and wellness. In a recent magazine article, the writer was surprised by some of the benefits people were reporting under chiropractic care, stating that chiropractors treated various illnesses and ailments. What the writer doesn't know is that chiropractors don't 'treat' injuries, sicknesses, or problems. We take care of people! We are in the people business, leading them towards wellness, then keeping them that way!

05/11/2019 Duración: 09minThere is no better feeling than to see children in my office having a great time, laughing, giggling, and being surprised that they can have fun in a 'doctors office.' Our annual Halloween Bash is such a day for us, where we go all out for the kids and they just have the greatest time. I purposely step back during this party and capture moments of the commotion, the happiness, the feeling of joy in chiropractic!

29/10/2019 Duración: 49minLyme disease and PANDAS (pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder associated with Strep)are becoming way more common than ever before, part of a growing trend of autoimmune issues that include emotional or behavioral changes. Every parent who complains that their child had a sudden shift in behavior needs to be questioned about an illness or insect bite prior to the onset of changes. This is an almost hour long talk given to the Life U ICPA Club.

Episode 323: Yesterday & Tomorrow
22/10/2019 Duración: 14minQuestion: What would the world's reaction be if tomorrow, we all woke up and chiropractic ceased to exist? This thought came from watching the recently released movie, Yesterday, in which the world somehow lost its memory of The Beatles. As Reggie Gold often said, "if you were the last chiropractor on the planet, would it survive?" These are profound questions that we try to tackle in this episode.

Episode 322: Remembering Dr. Jeanne Ohm
15/10/2019 Duración: 10minThe chiropractic profession lost a great hero recently when Dr. Jeanne Ohm left this earthly plane. She was a friend, mentor, leader, warrior, and champion of women in chiropractic. She took the ICPA from a small group when Dr. Webster passed away in 1997 to over 6000 members, the largest non-political chiropractic group on the planet. Dr. Jeanne's last talk at Life University was in December 2018 and so many students and docs commented to me that she made them laugh and cry. One student said, "Her passion was so palpable. I was slipping away from the principle and she brought me back." She will be missed. We love you Jeanne.

Episode 320: Two words- Just & Alignment
01/10/2019 Duración: 11minJust and alignment have many meanings. Dr Rubin, in this commencement speech given to the graduating class of Summer 2019, implores the graduates to move beyond the idea of being "just a chiropractor." He leads them to align with the bigger mission and purpose, which is to give, to love and to serve. As BJ Palmer once said, "Get the big idea, all else follows."

Episode 319: Succeed like water, one drop at a time
24/09/2019 Duración: 12minEver notice how water over time can slowly erode practically anything? The Grand Canyon was carved one drop at a time! Ever notice how small blades of grass can lift or even crack a sidewalk? How does it do that? One blade at a time. Things that don't look so powerful are in fact the most powerful of all, when you add one thing to it: Principle #6-Everything takes time.

Episode 318: Chiropractic's role in helping the 9/11 rescue workers
17/09/2019 Duración: 11minA few days after 9/11 occurred, chiropractors began setting up makeshift clinics around Ground Zero to adjust the rescue workers at no charge. Later these chiropractors took over storefronts or erected tents to adjust thousands of police, fire, military and other rescue workers, and this went on for months. There is a lot of talk about mission trips in chiropractic; this was one of the most important mission trips of all.

Episode 317: Are you planting seeds?
11/09/2019 Duración: 10minTons of acorns on the ground lately. If they stay on the sidewalk, will the function of the seed be expressed? A seed must be planted and watered and have sun and proper food to grow. The same with any idea. A new patient walks into your office and they may have no idea what chiropractic really is. That is your seed opportunity. If you tell them nothing, don't expect the seed to grow. But if you do tell them about chiropractic, then the seed may germinate in fertile ground.

Episode 316: Research shows neurological changes with chiropractic care
03/09/2019 Duración: 15min"Research. Research. We need more research!" We hear this over and over again. However, there are studies that actually show that chiropractic care creates neurological changes. Dr. Fuhr, cofounder of the Activator Methods Technique, has made a number of research-heavy presentations that display without a doubt the effects a chiropractic adjustment can have on the nerve system. Yes, we do need more research, but we already have valid and reliable science to back us up.

Episode 315: You are changing levels of consciousness!
27/08/2019 Duración: 10minYou are not just touching a back, you are changing levels of consciousness. In the book Power vs Force, Dr. Hawkins discusses levels of consciousness and how living at higher levels can actually help lift people up around you. Our job is far deeper than what happens on a physical level when we adjust our practice members. We are helping to raise consciousness which helps them with way more than we can imagine or measure! Your living at higher awareness raises the levels of others around you!

Episode 313: A roadmap for tricky times
13/08/2019 Duración: 16minIn modern times, if you want to go somewhere, you theoretically don't have to know much about it. You can 'get an Uber' and they will take you there. Starting your own practice isn't quite that simple as getting an Uber. You've got to know where you are, where you want to go, and need a roadmap on how to get there. So many students graduate knowing where they are, but not knowing where they want to go. Time to set some goals and make a roadmap!

Of encouragement? You create that with your actions and your results.

Episode 310: Stonehenge- It's all about alignment!
23/07/2019 Duración: 22minStonehenge is 5000 years old and is aligned with the summer and winter solstices. Even that many centuries ago, they knew alignment was critical. If they wanted to see the sun through the stones on June 21st, they had to be set up in extremely specific ways. If we want the brain and the nerve system to perform optimally, then the spinal column requires that same specific alignment. A related question then would be, "what are you aligned with?" Dr. Rubin explores these topics as he shows pictures from his tour at Stonehenge in June.
