Bramham International Horse Trials - 6th - 9th June 2019

Course designer at the Equi Trek Bramham International Horse Trials – this year is his 5th course for the competition.

The Friday preview with Event Director Nick Pritchard as the sun returns to Bramham.

A SUMMARY OF DAY ONE including clips from leaders William Fox-Pitt Karin Donkers as well as event director Nick Pritchard, charity trustee Catherine Godrey, BETA executive Claire Williams on drugs in horses, and metal sculpture artist Amy Lancaster.

In the shorter course CIC William Fox-Pitt and Chilli Morning managed a career best dressage score of just 31.5 to lead the field. In the senior section William and Fredie Mac are 4th having scored 46.2.

LEADING THE CC1 AFTER THE DRESSAGE: Karin Donkers 5 times Belgian Olympic equestrian eventer. Aboard LAMICELL UNIQUE... SCORED 38.5.

The Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund was established in 1988 by the parents of Mark Davies. Mark died in an accident whilst competing at Burghley Horse Trials. Since the charity started approaching one million pounds has been given to help injured riders.

Wednesday at Bramham

With the Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials just a matter of weeks away, cross country course designer Ian Stark has revealed his 2014 test for the three competitions over 5 – 8 June. The spring weather has provided perfect conditions for growing so the park at Bramham is looking pristine with a green carpet providing ideal going for the horses. Ian has again used the Park’s features and undulations to provide the ultimate test. Ian dreams up the fences and chainsaw master David Evans and his team make them come to life and once again, every obstacle is a work of art. Over 140 riders from around the world are expected to battle it out across three eventing contests; the Equi-Trek CCI3*, the British Equestrian Trade Association CIC3* and the Bishop Burton College U25 CCI3* and all will tackle Ian’s course on Saturday 7 June.

The Lane Fox family offer you a very warm welcome to the Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials. This annual event is both an equestrian sporting event and a social event. George's eldest son, Nick, also served in the Household Cavalry for 10 years before a career in business in Leeds and London. In 1989 he married The Hon. Rachel Baring, eldest daughter of the 2nd Lord Howick of Glendale. Together they have 5 children. Following his mother's death in 1997, Nick and his family moved into the House and he took over the management of the Estate from his father. He has further developed and diversified the businesses of the Estate. In 1999, with a grant from English Heritage, he commissioned a Landscape Management and Conservation Plan, to serve as a guide for the continued restoration of Robert Benson's grand design. In 2003 the Leeds Rock Festival moved to Bramham, further enhancing the Estate and allowing the restoration of the Southern Parkland, which had been ploughed-out during World War II.
