In the news, the guys discuss the massacre that is Black Ops Multiplayer, the PSP2 and the forthcoming Nathan Drake film. Barry kicks off the reviews with Call of Duty Black Ops, then he and Ant discuss 007: Bloodstone and compare that with 007: GoldenEye.

Chaos ensues once again as the troublesome team try to uncover the books and authors that had a major role in creating our favourite genres or have since shaken things up, put a new spin on them and generally kept it all fresh.  It has been heavily edited, resulting in the sad loss of several interesting conversations about books and authors which were too off-topic or else deserving of far more time and analysis on a seperate podcast.  Despite that it's a monster episode and there's loads of silliness which did survive the edit because frankly we'd rather be funny than dull.Miraculously maintaining our sky-high standards (despite the removal of one persons pants and the shaking of another cast-member's member) we plunge back through time to glance at Gilgamesh and rampage right through to 2010 with all the clinically-precise organisation of the average student's sock drawer - and many similarly unsavoury and cheesy elements. The plugathon at the end makes reference to short story The Golden Egg which you can

This time Master Kehaar and First Mate Grampus set sail for the Napoleonic Wars: the Napoleonic War with Dragons.   In the process they admire the writing, society and military technology of the Tremeraire books. While at it they keel hawl the reputation of Napoleon, amputate Marshall Bulcher and pull out the guns on the nature of the HMS Allegiance.   Hammers Slammers make a surprise appearance and Kehaar gets all gushy eyed on the heroism of the period, Sharpe and Hornblower mainly stay in reserve but their presence is felt. They also admire the other developments of the time (though manage not to mention the Romantic movement - silly boys.) Jane Austin, Tom Mix and Tom Crabbe even get a mention.   So take a tot of rum, sound general quarters, scramble, stand to your guns, mount up or form square depending on your service me lads & lasses -   Do you want to see Napoleon in Windsor Castle?
