We have been waiting since mid January, and finally, college football is back! Today we travel to Dallas for the Florida and Michigan matchup, then skirt over to Atlanta for the huge opening week game with Alabama and Florida State, then we jet set to LA to check in on UCLA and Texas AM. Then Mac Engel of the Ft Worth Star Telegram joins the Professor for "Fish's Picks", you want to listen to that before kickoff, maybe make you some beer money for the rest of the day! This week the Professor has an interview with Mark Moses from The Fan on 1560 in Central Florida on the state of College Football in the Sunshine state, a caller asks why some athletes have stellar careers in the NCAA and then are duds in the NFL (yes Tebow is thrown in there, and possibly under the bus!). Additionally we cover cover a very controversial Heisman Trophy winner. Can you guess who that is?

Today Matt Martell with MLB.com and the Penn State student paper enters the classroom to breakdown the College World Series, Attorney Lindsay Sadlowski talks background checks for recruits, Derrick Wilburn from allenbwest.com talks transgenders in sports, and Lincoln Riley gets a big raise, but is already dealing with student athlete crime.

The Professor is joined by Mac Engel of the Fort Worth Star Telegram to preview the College World Series and talk about a player from the nations number one team that should never see the mound again (even though he has a 0.76 ERA). Also joining the class will be Mike Roberts of Westword to discuss CU's handling (or more aptly mishandling) of the Tumpkin case. If that wasn't enough, Dusty Dvoracek, former Oklahoma Sooner and Chicago Bear, chimes in about Bob Stoops reitrement and what's next for one of College Football's storied programs.

Chad Kelly the last pick in the NFL Draft joins the classroom as well as former Air Force Falcon and NFL player Chad Hall and former olympian, also a former cadet, Eli Bremer discuss the decision by the DOD to not let service academy players go straight to the NFL

The professor brings in Matt Martell from Penn State and Matt Speakman from Alabama. We also talk NFL Draft and the moves made, those left to make and why did Joe Mixon drop so far?

The professor is joined by Brett Nierengarten from Nebraska to talk spring football, I give my Top 10 draft picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, and the Oklahoma Sooners womens gymnastics team goes back to back.....

1978 Heisman winner Billy Sims joins the professor in studio, we travel to the Carolinas with Jackson Cowart in North Carolina to talk about the Tarheels championship, then we jump on down to South Carolina with Abe Danaher to talk about the Lady Gamecocks winning the title.

The professor is joined by all four Final 4 teams by the sports writers for the school papers. Jackson Cowart/North Carolina, Jarrid Denney/Oregon, Abe Danaher/South Carolina, Eden Laase/Gonzaga. Abe Danaher got to do double duty with the Lady Gamecocks in the Womens Championship game.

Sportwriter for Gonzaga and now Sports Illustrated Eden Laase joins the professor to breakdown the Zags run in the NCAA Tourney, Saul Bookman with the Arizona Daily Wildcat talks about the Cats season ending early and joins the Professor to discuss one and done's, namely Lonzo Ball.....

We talk to student writers from Oklahoma, Clemson and Auburn after the Spring games and look forward to next season, and the Professor goes off on LaVarr Ball with his comment of "three slow white guys" made UCLA lose in the NCAA Tournament.
