    02/11/2022 Duración: 02h15min

EA announced a 3 game deal with Marvel that brings back memories of their sometimes controversial deal with Star Wars, but this time without the exclusivity clause. Will these games sell as well as the Star Wars games while hopefully garnering more universal praise? • The Last of Us HBO Trailer & Metacritic Draft | Triangle Squared: A PlayStation Podcast Ep. 278

    28/09/2022 Duración: 02h58min

The Last of Us Day, previously known as Outbreak Day, brought with it a full trailer for the HBO adaptation of the game, finally allowing us a good look at multiple characters outside of Joel and Ellie, such as Nick Offerman's Bill. With the show choosing to follow the same story of the game, we share our thoughts on the positives and negatives of adaptations of games following their source material versus creating new journey's in worlds in which we are already familiar and how those two might come together in The Last of Us' TV show. On top of that, we talk the Rockstar hacker getting his just desserts, Overwatch 2's decision to lock aspects of the game behind a "play" wall and whether that will lead to a pay for convenience option, check in on the Community's thoughts on leaks and how it impacts them, and Chris brings the idea of a Metacritic Draft for 2023 releases to the table, forcing us to narrow down 13 games each in an effort to not be the one paying one lucky Patron a crisp $100 once it's all done.

  • GTA 6 Leak, EA Gets Iron Man | Triangle Squared: A PlayStation Podcast Ep. 277

    21/09/2022 Duración: 02h12min

The gaming world was shaken by a pretty huge leak of GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI to be proper), revealing things such as a look at the protagonists, what the world might look like, and gameplay mechanics that Rockstar have evolved since the last entry, but apparently it's all from roughly 3 years ago. We take a look at the impact of leaks, why people are quick to criticize mid-development footage from leaks, EA taking bat at another licensed game as they partner with Marvel for an Iron Man 3rd person action game, our thoughts on PSVR2's lack of backwards compatibility with PSVR titles, and more while checking the community's pulse on how they feel about the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok and their own expectations for the title. • Trophies on PC & A Marvel "Ensemble" Game? | Triangle Squared Ep. 273

    18/08/2022 Duración: 02h11min

Marvel's Spider-Man has finally hit PC and with it comes the obligatory searching through files that hint at PlayStation bringing the PSN to PC, meaning you could be earning trophies on PC soon, among other implications that brings, and we get a hint from Disney that their new games showcase will have us seeing something from Amy Hennig's new game which appears to be a Marvel "Ensemble" game that could mean we get to play as The Fantastic 4, The Defenders, or any of the countless other Marvel teams! We share our thoughts on these, why people seem to not play the Call of Duty campaigns, speculate over potential future clashes of iconic characters in Multiversus as it continues to grow, hear of a 2012 Iron Man game from Avalanche that never saw the light, question where the line of "quality" or what makes a game exactly is in relation to PlayStation's Store being berated for cheap, trophy games, and go completely off rails with topics such as rap verses in pop songs, favorite food specials, and Chris' hope of s

  • Square Enix and the Crystal Cannibals | Triangle Squared Ep. 272

    10/08/2022 Duración: 01h57min

As we all know, Square Enix recently announced it's plans to sell Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal and much of it's western development studios and IP to Embracer Group. Many assumed that this was due to a mix of Marvel's Avengers underperforming combined with an assumed effort to trim the fat to better prime the remainder of the company to an interested party, with Sony at the forefront of that assumed list. Well, recently it was reported that Square Enix feared that these studios were "cannibalizing" sales from their rest of their studios and that by selling them they could be more efficient with their capital. Could that still mean that Square is looking to sell, or does their renewed interest in doubling down on their very successful Japanese games and developers show that they may be looking to remain independant? We share our thoughts on this, Multiversus' first season pass, Modern Warfare II's beta dates and early access, Marvel's Midnight Sun delaying in what is likely response to God of War: Ragnarok
