This week Nick and Muriel travel to sunny Santa Monica pier to visit the awesome crew at Trapeze School New York Los Angeles! In this gripping episode, you’ll hear the carefree laughter of fearless 7 year old girls mixed with Nick and Muriel’s screams of terror on a windy pier. Muriel has been working as a server for 15 (or 20) years and has always loved cooking at home, but has never stepped into a professional kitchen to try out her skills. This week Nick and Muriel go to the famous Beer Belly in LA’s historic Koreatown to talk to Chef Wes Lieberher. Then, after the niceties, Chef Wes takes Muriel into the kitchen, trains her on four menu items and then Nick sits back and heckles her relentlessly as she attempts to pump out a professional lunch in under 15 minutes!

Nick and Muriel go to Compton to get a horseback riding lesson and learn about the Compton Cowboys from their friend Kee Abercrombia.

Nick has been waiting his whole life to get a tattoo, and this week he finally pulls the trigger. Having just turned 34, Nick is fully grown and ripe for tattooing. Join Nick and Muriel as they prepare for this momentous occasion by waking up late for their appointment, engaging in some light arguing, shaving a patch in Nicks back hair and housing breakfast burritos in the car on the way to The Little Annie Motel Tattoo Parlor.

In this special New Year’s Day episode of HIYT, Nick forces Muriel to drink a terrible health smoothie while they reflect on 2018 and the nature of New Year’s resolutions. Nick and Muriel then load up on decadent groceries and travel through the dark and rainy Pacific Northwestern woods to Grandma Virginia’s house where they chat with Nick’s grandma about holidays during the Great Depression and hippies.

On the advice of Gwyneth Paltrow, Nick and Muriel venture into the depths of Santa Monica, California for the ultimate spa treatment: getting an A-Steam. What’s an A-Steam? Well… “A” stands for “anus” and that’s where the steam goes! Buckle up for a wild ride.
