It is a pretty light weekend for ACC football, as Duke and Pitt is the most interesting game of the weekend. Can that match-up decide the Coastal?  That and more in our latest podcast. Make sure to rate, review, and subscribe!

We're back a little later than expected with our Week 5 Recap. Uh....Clemson? Is UNC good? What in the world is happening in Blacksburg to Virginia Tech? Florida State looking functional for four quarters!! And whaddya know?! Wake Forest is 5-0 and officially ranked. Here come the STEAMIN' DEACS

Week 5 is upon us, and Mike and Joey are back to preview all of the action! The festivities start on Friday night, as Duke travels to Blacksburg and will likely cause a LOT of issues for Mike's Hokies. Virginia heads out on the road to take on Notre Dame in what should be the game of the day -- can the Cavaliers keep this one close, or will the Irish completely run away with it as major favorites? Elsewhere, Dave Clawson and the WHITE CLAW-fense travel to Chestnut Hill, where they'll face a Boston College team who's been...inconsistent at best so far this year. Georgia Tech's new head coach Geoff Collins and his staff travel back to Philadelphia to take on the Temple team that many of them previously coached -- what could possibly go wrong?!? Plus, Clemson at North Carolina, NC State at Florida State, ACC Picks of the Week, and much more!

With some questions building in the inbox, Mike and Joey get together to talk about several things asked by the listeners. How does the Coastal Division stack up against other divisions in Power-5 conferences right now? Is North Carolina already showing some "softness" under Mack Brown? Is Virginia's current run of success sustainable? Plus, the guys address the odds that a few ACC coaches are real candidates at a pair of high-profile jobs that may be opening up later in the season. Joey and Mike were really hoping for a calm, tame, uneventful Week 4 in the ACC, which unfortunately wasn't quite the case. On the bright side, Pittsburgh had one of the conference's surefire best out-of-conference wins of the year in upsetting UCF, Florida State was able to manage a win after blowing yet ANOTHER big lead, and Clemson and Wake Forest rolled over lesser opponents in big ways. However, Miami and Virginia struggled massively in games as big favorites, while Syracuse and NC State weren't nearly as sharp as we'd hoped they would be in comfortable wins. To top it all off, North Carolina lost to Appalachian State, and now we're really questioning who the Tar Heels actually are after a couple of early, seemingly-big wins. PLUS, the guys hand out awards from Week 4 (including a major first on the show), and MORE!

After an uncomfortable, frustrating Week 3 for the ACC, the conference has a couple of "marquee" games, but really has several teams back in action as big favorites at home against G5 and FCS teams. Louisville travels to Tallahassee, where the on-the-rise Cardinals take on the generally-unstable and largely-untrustworthy Seminoles in a game that's far more intriguing than we thought it would be in mid-August. Pittsburgh plays host to a buzzsaw UCF team that won big in Orlando against the Panthers last year. Meanwhile, North Carolina is a small favorite against former NC State OC Eli Drinkwitz and his feisty App State program, while the DUDES of Boston College REALLY TRY NOT TO MESS IT UP THIS TIME as a substantial road favorite against Rutgers. All of that, plus several ACC teams that are big favorites against G5 teams and CERTAINLY WON'T MESS IT UP THIS TIME (looking at you, NC State). PLUS, Mike and Joey make their official ACC Picks of the Week.

Joey and Mike effectively have a group therapy session after one of the worst weekends for the ACC in recent memory. Joey's Yellow Jackets lost to The Citadel, losing to an FCS team for the first time since the early 1980's. Meanwhile, Mike's Hokies had an exceptionally poor showing against FCS Furman, trailing at halftime before finally winning by a mere 7 points. Meanwhile, Boston College got blown out by a terrible Kansas team at home, NC State lost by 17 to a bad, rebuilding West Virginia team, and Pittsburgh badly blew a remarkable opportunity to upset Penn State. Elsewhere, Clemson rolled over a potentially bad Syracuse team, Wake Forest hung on amidst controversy to beat North Carolina, and....is Louisville secretly one of the best teams in the conference? PLUS, weekly awards and more!

Joey and Mike are previewing all of the Week 3 action in the ACC, where there's not a lot we'd consider too particularly interesting -- but we also have to acknowledge that those are the types of weeks that get the wildest in college football. North Carolina and Wake Forest are playing in a non-conference game on Friday night, around the same time that Boston College takes on Les Miles' weak Kansas team. Pittsburgh finishes their home-and-home series with Penn State on Saturday, NC State finally takes on West Virginia (after last year's game was cancelled for a hurricane), Florida State takes their instability to Charlottesville for a matchup with Virginia, and Clemson travels to Syracuse to avenge their most recent Carrier Dome trip -- a 2017 loss to the Orange. Mike and Joey are back, recapping a strange Week 2 in the ACC. Clemson made quick work of Texas A&M, with the game never in doubt after last year's thriller in College Station. Florida State got out to a huge lead before surrendering it back AGAIN, this time to Louisiana-Monroe. Mack Brown's North Carolina won again, this time against a Miami team that Mike picked to win the Coastal! PLUS, Joey gives his take on Georgia Tech's ultra-weird offense in a close win over South Florida, Mike was unimpressed with Virginia Tech's effort in a win over Old Dominion, and much more!

After a really fun, exciting Week 1 in the ACC, Week 2 is going to be...a different kind of fun. Joey and Mike preview all of the action, including: Clemson faces their presumed toughest test of the year and is STILL a huge favorite over Texas A&M The master hosts the apprentice, as Mack Brown's UNC welcomes his old DC Manny Diaz's Miami to Chapel Hill for both teams' first conference game under their new head coaches Syracuse follows up a ho-hum win over Liberty with a trip to former ACC members Maryland, and....the Orange are underdogs???  A year after falling to the Bulls in Tampa, Georgia Tech hosts USF looking for win #1 under Geoff Collins Pittsburgh looks to get right with a home game against a feisty Ohio team There's also lots of other games, that collectively barely warrant a full bullet point All of this, plus ACC picks of the week and MORE!

The guys are back, recapping a fun Week 1 in the ACC that saw several really good games. Florida State blew a huge lead to Boise State in an impromptu home game and may have Willie Taggart squarely on the hot seat, Boston College looked really impressive in outcoaching and outplaying Virginia Tech, Virginia started off their attempted march to Charlotte with a win at Pittsburgh, and UNC and Wake got a pair of impressive out-of-conference wins against South Carolina and Utah State. Elsewhere, Clemson made quick work of Georgia Tech, Duke failed to hang with Alabama, and Syracuse looked great in an ultra-weird game against Liberty. After the appetizer that was the Miami game in Week Zero, ACC Football is back at long last with a HUGE Week One slate! --The defending National Champion Clemson Tigers kick off the weekend Thursday night, hosting the first-ever game on the ACC Network against Joey's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets! --Wake Forest plays host to a low-key DANGEROUS Utah State team on Friday night in a game that the Steamin' Deacons really need to win to get their season started on the right foot. --Saturday features a pair of subtly CRUCIAL games to the outcome of the ACC, as Virginia Tech travels to Boston College and Virginia travels to Pittsburgh -- two games that will inevitably set the tone for the Coastal Division race and the conference as a whole. --Duke joins Georgia Tech as 35-point underdogs (they're playing against reigning National Runners-Up Alabama), and Louisville is probably getting the business end of a game against Notre Dame. Miami put up a valiant effort against #8 Florida in Week Zero of the 2019 season, but lost a heartbreaker 24-20 in Orlando. The off-season is finally over and football is upon us. It's time for our 2019 ACC Preview, and we brought on friend of the show Josh Parcell of WFNZ in Charlotte, as well as the CFB Country Podcast, to help us break it all down. We took previewing the conference from a different angle this year, asking many key questions that could determine the outcome of the ACC football season for many teams. In addition, we quickly previewed the Week Zero showdown between Miami and Florida, and gave some very early College Football Playoff picks. Our final team preview of the preseason covers the North Carolina Tar Heels, who got rid of Larry Fedora after a pair of lackluster seasons, and replaced him by bringing in Mack Brown...again. Offensively, the QB situation couldn't be much murkier among a pair of sophomores and a freshman -- so who's the starter going to be? Does it make sense to just go with a full-on "youth movement" this year and prepare for 2020 and 2021? The defense was a major problem for Larry Fedora in recent years, but Jay Bateman ran a pretty stout defensive unit, especially for a program with restrictions like the ones at Army. Now at UNC, do his tactics "fit" with what the Tar Heels are going to do on offense? Finally, could this schedule be much less conducive to making a bowl game in year one of a new regime?
