Luke, Andrew and Jon compare notes on their first night of bracelet-making for the TBTL-a-Thon, and they all agree that the experience has changed them.

Andrew reports on his electroshock therapy, Luke is worried about the heat index during the TBTL-a-Thon, and the Mariners got booed by their own fans yesterday. 

Found Magazine’s Davy Rothbart joins Luke and Andrew to ask the Tens of Listeners to help him solve an 18 year old mystery.

Andrew has been troubleshooting the TBTL-a-Thon tech issues in his sleep, while Luke has been reading up on fake, AI-generated Yelp reviews that are more realistic than human reviews. They also find out What’s In The Box!

Andrew was surprised to find himself referenced in the Seattle Times’ “Rant and Rave” column this weekend, and let’s just say it wasn’t a “rave” review. He and Luke also discuss the discovery of a “bikini barista” shop in Andrew’s neighborhood. 

Andrew found a surprise waiting for him when he went to his local bead store this week. He tells Jon and Luke all about that as they gear up to make hundreds upon hundreds of friendship bracelets for this year’s TBTL-a-Thon. 

Luke and Andrew trade notes on mapping software, cereal bowls, unopened emails, and (of course) pureed soup. And Luke has an update on his email battle with a Chinese retailer.  

An airport observation leads Luke and Andrew to explore the many Yelp reviews of a woman named Donna, who apparently contains multitudes. Also, Luke is fighting with a faceless Chinese company over a light fixture he bought, and he doesn’t seem to be winning.

Andrew has some VERY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS about Applebee’s “Riblets”. He and Luke also exchange notes on hotel room dining. And listeners weigh-in on super-smellers and Facebook Marketplace scammers.   

Luke made a bit of mistake while tipping a worker this weekend, which then led to a slow-speed chase down a country road. And some Tens help Andrew solve an audio mystery that he raised on the show last week.

TBTL Employee #1 Jon Sklaroff joins the show to talk about the Zoom parties planned for the upcoming TBTL-a-Thon and whether or not he and Luke and Andrew can actually make enough friendship bracelets for every TBTL donor. They also discuss confusing public service announcements, paddle boarding, and NFL-themed bar mitzvahs. 

Andrew had a strange experience at the doctor’s office yesterday, and he blames it on the sin of pride. 

One of Luke’s patented online spoofs leads him and Andrew into the dark-roast depths of Kevin Costner’s new coffee venture. Andrew is also preparing for his new role as a distinguished educator, and a story about the indictment of a New Jersey power broker prompts some incredible photojournalism.

Andrew had an intense interaction at the ballpark this weekend when he got into a passive aggressive fight with his future self.

Andrew accuses Luke of Bunk Journalism over a hotdog-related story, but they think they can remain friends. Meanwhile, Luke’s relationship with his new cookware continues to evolve and deepen.
