  • Episode #023: The Ancient Quest for Immortality

    14/09/2017 Duración: 02h15min

"C'mon you apes! You wanta live forever?"   -Unknown platoon sergeant, 1918 We discuss life expectancy, from the microbiological causes of aging to theoretical possibilities of physical immortality, and the intriguing fact that many ancient civilizations recorded extraordinary long lives of remote ancestors. We discuss the suppression of scientific knowledge that goes counter to contemporary scientific theory, and the fallacy of the concept of "indigenous", and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now but was all very interesting. Here, have some dolmens:

  • Episode #022

    11/09/2017 Duración: 02h27min

No description, no title. What is this episode about? Listen and find out.

  • Episode #021: Eclipse Apocalypse Pendulum Conundrum 411

    02/09/2017 Duración: 02h35min

On this post-eclipse pre-apocalypse episode we start out by speculating that the Solar Eclipse that just passed across the U.S. is the reason for the sudden macrosizing of Hurricane Harvey, which went on to drown  large areas of Texas beneath immense floods of water and, for a brief time, turning the area back into something resembling the "late cretaceous inland sea" that supposedly covered the area. So we here at the SnakeBros compound decided it was time to get out the buttflaps and party like it's 70,000,000 B.C. (±1,200,000y adj). We discuss the Foucault Pendulum Anomaly, where pendulums act very strangely beneath full solar eclipses, implying something is very wrong with Standard Model physics and the way it views gravity and mass and the interaction between them. For the last part of the show, we give an overview of the Missing 411 mystery, followed by several actual accounts of the missing persons.

  • Episode #020: Do you even Pyramid bro?

    27/08/2017 Duración: 02h21min

We start the show talking about how, in this day and age, there are actually still people out there who do not spend an appreciable amount of time thinking about Pyramids. I mean, it's 2017! How are there even people out there who don't think about Pyramids?? Can we get with the program here, on the right side of history please?? Well, we can say for certain that we don't know anyone who doesn't think about pyramids. We don't even talk to people like that. As if. So we do a lot of thinking and talking about pyramids on this episode. We believe pyramids. The pyramids are settled. Build pyramids, not bridges. Questioning the Theory of Pyramids is like questioning the Theory of Gravity. If you do, you'll just die tired.

  • Episode #019: Connecting the Dots, Comparative Mythology

    20/08/2017 Duración: 02h08min

In this episode we discuss how many of the most mysterious ancient sites are connected to each other through sometimes obvious, sometimes subtle, stylistic similarities, and how this fits with the growing picture of ancient history as defined by pulling together ancient texts and myths from all over the world. Bananas continue to not be discussed at all.

  • Episode #018: Skerptards gonna Skerpderp

    11/08/2017 Duración: 02h39min

In this episode we spend a lot of time on the subject of modern so-called "skeptics"(AKA skerptards AKA skerpderpers AKA losers), the concept of "debunking" vs actually disproving or falsification, and the myriad ways that the modern "skeptic" movement is deeply deceptive in their methods and tactics. We also discuss and give examples of how the scientific community in many respects has also engaged in widespread acts of deception both large and small, and how "alternative" or "fringe" or "paranormal" researchers often have some of the most solid, well-supported evidence and arguments because of the constant attacks on their work by the mainstream, which looks for any possible way to discredit even if it is deeply disingenuous and/or fallacious. Since the mainstream does not even come close to holding itself to similar standards, much of it's work has later been shown to fall apart when attempts to recreate it are undertaken. So basically what we're saying is, Nephas 1, Losers 0.

  • Episode #017: Mysteries of the Maps, the Holy Grail

    26/07/2017 Duración: 02h16min

We explore the strange and interesting Mystery of the Maps; Portolano Projection maps made during the 15th and 16th century that appear to contain information incongruous with the state of cartographic and navigational knowledge and ability at the time. We explain "the problem of Longitude" which wasn't overcome until the late 1800s, yet there exist many 16th and 17th century maps with areas of very precise longitude, better than anything we could do up to as recently as the 1950s. We also outline the work of Dr. Charles Hapgood, who studied many of these maps currently housed in the Congressional Library, who went on to publish a book called "Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings" We also delve into the original Grail legend, wandering the vast and intimidating labyrinth of Grail Lore and esoterica, until eventually we surprise everyone(ourselves included) by emerging into the light on the other side with a possible solution to this age-old mystery.

  • Episode #016: Ancient Aliens and Lost Civilizations

    20/07/2017 Duración: 02h23min

In this episode we start out with a strange news item about alien/reptilian looking mummified bodies found in Peru, then from there we move on to the Ancient Alien hypothesis vs the Ancient Advanced Civilization hypothesis, consciousness and quantum mechanics, cryogenics and AI, life, the universe, and everything.

  • Episode #015: The Greatest Man Alive and Electricity

    17/07/2017 Duración: 02h08min

In this episode we have a guest, Archer Finley aka GMA(Greatest Man Alive), close friend and SnakeBro who has a degree in Electrical Engineering. So we spend most of the episode asking him questions about electricity and totally not understanding the answers. We also ask his opinion on whether ancient civilizations could have had some understanding of electrical forces. We talk about telluric currents, the Shuttle Tether mission(which was STS 75, not STS 80 as Russ said on the show), Nikola Tesla, and more. One of the strange objects that drifted past during the tether video, which is linked below   Huge anomalous sunspot A couple of examples of earthquake lights

  • Episode #014: Elastic Universe Hypothesis and the Black Knight Satellite

    13/07/2017 Duración: 02h14min

We start this episode off with a few interesting news items that lead to another short discussion about the Elastic Universe Hypothesis and how it might be tested via an interesting anomaly that happens only beneath a full solar eclipse. And also how archaeologists are dumb because for like a hundred years they've been trying to study ancient astronomical observatories during the daytime. We then move on to the subject of the Black Knight Satellite at the request of a listener(thanks J), which means we get into Long Delay Echoes, ancient space probes, Phillip K. Dick and V.A.L.I.S. After that, we talk about a strange correlation between gigantic pyramids in Mexico, China, and Indonesia, then finish up with a brief discussion of a very mysterious place in China known as the Longyou Grottoes. Gravitic Lensing (theoretically) caused by the gravity of a galaxy cluster in the foreground, warping the light of galaxies behind it into circular arcs(btw the very bright object on the upper right is a star

  • Episode #013: The Cake is a Pi

    29/06/2017 Duración: 02h31min

==----------WARNING---------== There are aspects of this episode that do not correlate to anything "tangible"  or "real", and instead seem to take 90 degree turns in directions that do not actually exist, then head off into impossible infinities only to discover god and/or aliens sitting out there calculating the digits of cake(the cake is a pi). This material requires a minimum of a Level 2.0 non-Tangetard brain and is NSFS(Not Safe For Skerptards). There's not much more that can be said about the discussion in this episode; mostly because we don't really understand what we were talking about. Waves and pyramids. Cake and Pi. Snakes and bros. It all fits. We think. But seriously, just keep in mind that there are pics down below that may help you in continuing to not understand wtf we're talking about. Just remember that all we're really saying is   3.141592653589793238462643383279502884 1971693993751058209749445923078164062 8620899862803482534211706798214808651 3282306647093844609550582231725359408 12

  • Episode #012: Roadtrip to Volcano, Hearing Light and Seeing Sound

    22/06/2017 Duración: 02h15min

We start this episode with a recount of a daytrip we took to a nearby extinct volcano that we totally did not know was there even though we've lived here for decades. Usually volcanoes are pretty noticable because mountain, but this volcano is eroded flat, nothing but a small knob of igneous material remains where the volcano once stood. Still, we were excited to see it and do some geololololology. Turns out it is entirely on private property. So we still haven't seen it. Instead, we went to McKinney Falls nearby, where we discovered an ancient dry-laid stone wall that bisected the park going directly east-west, atop a massive tounge of catastrophically deposited limestone(that in turn rested atop igneous materials, probably deposited by eruptions of the elusive mountainless volcano). Plus, evidence of massive flooding, giant oyster fossils, and creature shadows trapped in clay. Then we got eaten by fish and started a microcult. For the rest of the show, we discuss how to hear light and see sound, the al

  • Episode #011: Annunaki, Breaking World Records, and Impossiblocks

    15/06/2017 Duración: 02h05min

In this episode we start off already completely distracted by Default Android Voice 001, which leads to Sitchin and aliens and Annunaki  (of course), but eventually that leads to Ba'albek which completely distracts us a second time because it has Impossiblocks. Naturally that leads to the subject of Shamanism and Tibetan monks and fakin' it till you make it and a guy in Brazil named Jon OfGod and thousands of Inca getting killed trying to move an Impossiblock 10 feet. We discuss the Third Man Effect, the rate of world records being broken and the advent of extreme sports which (obviously) ties right back into Impossiblocks and basically solves that whole mystery. Elementary, really. (Tangetards please note: there are only two (2) tangents in this entire episode)  Ba'albek platform from space Note temple of Jupiter wing on the left, you can see the shadows of the 6 remaining columns from the south wall, which the Romans were unable to put all the way out on the southernmost edge of the platform

  • Episode #010: The Enuma Elish and The Sphinx Controversy

    08/06/2017 Duración: 02h12min

Episode ten! Wow. Anyway, we dedicate this show to questions, comments, emails, catcalls, and heckling from listeners who just want us to slow down, chill out, and explain some things in detail, because we're always referring to these things but we've never actually explained what they are. So we try to do that.  Kyle does an excellent job despite constant interruptions from Russ, while Russ does a terrible job despite zero interruptions from Kyle, and in this way we go thru the Sumerian "creation myths", the erosion patterns on the Sphinx enclosure, and the catastrophic end of the recent ice age. Kyle ties all of these things together into a gigantic fucking conspiracy while Russ makes ominous sound effects.  Also, bananas are---once again---not discussed. The Big Rock Dry cateracts in the channeled scablands Grand Coulee Dry Falls Potholes in Basalt in the channeled scablands     Giant potholes   Huge current ripples in Montana pr

  • Episode #009: Because, Again....Pyramids

    04/06/2017 Duración: 02h14min

In this episode, we discuss pyramids and Babel and pyramids and tacos and pyramids and Newton and pyramids and physics and pyramids and genetics and pyramids and alchemy and then we finish it off with a discussion about pyramids. P. S. (Also, Kyle does the most amazing impersonation of Christopher Dunn ever done by anyone anywhere ever. It starts somewhere around 9 minutes in and it's amazing. Did I mention it's awesome?) P. P. S. (All in good fun, btw. We have much respect for Mr. Dunn and his contributions to these mysteries.)

  • Episode #008: The Ordinary Extraordinary, Lucid Dreaming, Easter Island

    25/05/2017 Duración: 02h14min

First up in this episode are excerpts from another Fortean Times article, this one details a whole list of event types that most people consider to be extraordinary, but in fact these happen nearly every day. After that we touch on the topic of the Information Universe, then slide seamlessly into a discussion on dreams, where we ponder the question of why we can't use our smartphones in our dreams so we can Google how to do stuff like lucid dreaming, because for some reason the dream realm does not seem to have things like smartphones and computers. Sleep paralysis also comes up. Finally, we completely fail to bring closure to any of those topics by spending the last segment talking about Easter Island.

  • Episode #007: Metal Books, Mormons, and Mars

    11/05/2017 Duración: 02h11min

We have our first guest on the show, Ethan Hack, who sat in the studio with us and argued with everything we said and basically told us we're dumb. Generally this is an assessment we agree with, but we proved him wrong anyway, just to be nice. Other than that, we discuss an interesting document from the official CIA website, a whole list of odd events from the last hundred years taken from an article posted in the Fortean Times, stopping lasers with your mind, and how to become the Most Badass Martial Artist Ever. Also, Mormons and metal books and truths hidden in lies.

  • Episode #006: Books of Gold & OOPArts

    04/05/2017 Duración: 02h06min

In this episode we discuss the origin of the name of the podcast and how we both became interested in these topics. Then we talk ancient lost cities, Mormons, Nephas and Babel. Also, we take our very first caller/complaint who calls to bitch about Kyle not knowing who wrote Star Wars. We end the show with some more accounts of out of place artifacts and places allegedly found within the United States.

  • Episode #005: Because Pyramids

    20/04/2017 Duración: 02h23min

In episode five we outline the "Because Pyramids" hypothesis, which, in brief, posits that all of western civilization exists because around 6,000 years ago some dudes in buttflaps found giant stone triangles in the desert. Keeping with the subject of ancient Egypt, we talk about the Book of the Dead and how the Egyptians seemed to have made a science out of investigating the afterlife, building a picture of the various trials and tests a human soul must face and pass after death in order to achieve ascension to the stars. Because of the 2-D nature of Egyptian illustration, Russ associates the depictions in the Book of the Dead with oldschool 2d "platform jumper" videogames, which totally ruins the whole "spiritual enlightenment" thing. We also touch on the extraordinary nature of the so-called "air shafts" in the Great Pyramid, and specifically the "Queen's Chamber" shafts and the "door" discovered by Gantenbrink, which Zahi Hawass penetrated on live TV ten years later, and the strange, faint marks on th

  • Episode #004: Daylight Saving, Magic, and Climate Change

    16/04/2017 Duración: 02h15min

We start this episode with a rant about "daylight savings time" which everyone seems to hate and yet gets passed through every sitting congress, and possibly how the purpose of such a detestable rule is to disconnect us from the cosmos so we can't do magic. (hey, it's possible)  We introduce more of our patented SnakeBros terminology, such as "Longhead"(hominid with an elongated cranium),  "Nephas" (a less formal version of the word Nephilim, as in "Whassup mah Nepha").  We talk about ancient giants with double dentition and the conspiracy to conceal them. We talk about reports of tombs full of loot, but with the primary corpse missing(looters took the corpse and left all the loot??) There are other tangents here and there, then the final subject is climate change.
