In what will likely become a regular feature on the podcast, this week I am resurrecting an old episode that has fallen off the feed (Itunes and most podcatchers will only allow 100 episodes to be in a podcast feed, so if you have more than 100 episodes - anything past the latest 100 is not accessible). On this very special episode which has been something like a year in the making, good friend of the show and frequent guest Brendon Small returns to talk about two of his favorite music documentaries - CHUCK BERRY: HAIL! HAIL! ROCK N ROLL (1987) and another one called OFF THE CHARTS: THE SONG POEM STORY (2003). Both of these are fantastic documentaries and worth discovering. One gives a portrait of a Rock icon in Chuck Berry and the other shines a light on the song poem industry and the regular folks who send in their lyrics to have them made into songs (and the people that make those songs).
