What's in a documentary? That's what we sit down to ask ourselves this week as we round out our 4th documentary for the year. Our new release this month is the sequel no one asked for to the cult classic Blade Runner. Along the way we get into a pretty deep philosophical discussion about sex robots and consciousness in general. If you can sit through that, then you're rewarded with our thoughts on the film. While we battle our way through a cultural apocalypse we discuss our own personal hells, Nick lament's the absence of Errol, and Dalton and Rob bond. Dalton's pick this week brings us the first western brought to you by spaghetti in the italian/american remake of Yojimbo (See our previous yojimbo review). Along the way we talk about why people like seeing the same story told and retold while experimental films go the wayside. Also a surprise kind of sort of review of Mother! by Daron Aranovsky. With the worst summer box office in 20 years over, the boys sit down to discuss the result and the winner of the Summer Movie Wager from way back in our Alien: Covenant episode. We also discuss Rob's love for Stephen King, and draw a solid line for when it's ok to change your shot ratings. We have a new substitute reviewer this week in the form of Derek Bowles from Talking to myself joining us in place of Dalton, who is currently knee deep in the film he and Errol have been working on the past few weeks. But fear not, because Nick has chosen that warm, weird, holiday film that people obsess over to kick us into the new season! Also, Black Mirror is not what's coming next week, so we apologize for our incompetence. There's no fighting this week as we discuss the film Airplane! with drunken civility. Mainly because those ne'er-do-wells Nick and Dalton had to take the day off, at least that's Rob's theory.
