Mary was the 2014 World Junior Champion in the 3000 meter and she is the youngest American track and field athlete ever to represent the United States at a World Championships meet after competing in the World Championships in Athletics in Moscow at the age of 17. In 2013, Mary joined the greatest track team in the world, Nike’s Oregon Project, and, as a result of an abusive coach and system, it nearly ruined her career.
