In which we explore the film which derailed Richard Stanley's career, didn't help Val Kilmer's in any way, and was a shining example of Marlon Brando caring not one bit about a film he was getting paid a lot of money to do.Oddly enough, it's not as bad as we remembered.

When we reviewed HELLBENT for our look at LGBTQ-themed horror films, we noted that it billed itself as the first "Queer Slasher Film", but in truth that was a bit of marketing spin. There were certainly LGBTQ horror films before it, and in this episode, we turn our attention to the French film HIGH TENSION and find ourselves conflicted not just for its notorious plot twist, but also for what it has to say about its lesbian lead character.

In which we begin our discussion of Queer Horror with HELLBENT, which billed itself as the first "gay slasher" film - it wasn't the the first - but still proves to be a rather solid example of an 80's/90's slasher film, even if it was made in the 2004. Also, we record an episode that is longer than the actual film. As is our wont.

In which we discuss SATANIC PANIC, Fangoria's 2019 horror-comedy, and find that laughter is always welcome!Bit later for this episode than was planned, but the world is a very interesting place right now. Also we went on a number of entertaining yet completely unrelated tangents that needed to come out. We do that from time to time ;)

This week we turn our attention to 2019's Cinestate/FANGORIA film PORNO, which despite the name is a touch tamer than we expected, even as it evoked the horror films of the late '80s and early '90s. For good and for ill.

This week we turn our attention to THE LODGE and while we find ourselves divided on some key issues with the film, we all agree Riley Keough delivers a great performance and that the children are the worst kind of little sociopaths.

With the final episode of this season of THE WALKING DEAD delayed by the real-world events we're all struggling with, "The Tower" has become - for all intents and purposes - the season finale. In this episode of ZOMBPOCALYPSE NOW we discuss how that works in practice, and find that it actually caps the events of the season pretty effectively. Not to say we don't have some quibbles, 'cause, well, we do.Note: Mr. Harvey's recording setup in his new apartment is an evolving thing, and between that, Mr. Adair's kiddos, and recording across the internet, audio quality this week is... not quite ideal. We apologize and hope to have the technical side of things cleaned up for next week.
